Cellulite Cupping Therapy
Report
Cupping massage therapy is used on problemed areas of the skin, such as the back and outer thighs. The negative pressure created by heated cups together with herbal cream work to break down the fat deposits that give that cottage cheese like appearance as well as drain toxins and excess fluid in the area. This effective natural form of treatment feels much like a deep massage, and results can often be seen in as little as 2 procedures.
Gua Sha
Report
Gua sha is a healing therapy that includes the cutaneous stimulation of the skin in strokes using a round-edged instrument. The goal of gua sha is to remove blood stagnation, which is considered pathogenic and a cause of ache. This results in increased circulation and metabolic processes, and often, the patient experiences immediate improvement of pain, stiffness, or respiratory issues.
Tui Na
Report
Tui Na is a form of massage based on Traditional Chinese Medicine theory. It is generally stronger than a massage you might experience at a spa. Various massage methods and passive movements are employed and, like with acupuncture, it is aimed at alleviating pain by correcting imbalances and removing obstructions in the energy pathways. Often, special oils and balms containing pain-relieving herbs are employed along with the massage therapy.

Best acupuncture in Chicago and beyond. I travel a good bit and have experienced a fair number of offices and Angie is hands down the best I've found. She is a unique combination of knowledge, kindness and patience. She is open and deeply present to your needs. One of my favorite spots!

Acupuncture for Balanced Wellness is a fabulous place for your wellness needs. I've had acupuncture for years and started seeing Angie before the pandemic and continue to do so. Her practice is extremely professional, always on time, and effective. I've benefitted from stress relief and alleviation of a chronic pain issue. If traditional healthcare has failed you - try something new with this team!

You will find friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and skilled staff all around in this integrated practice - offering acupuncture, massage therapy and chiropractic in a quiet and serene office environment. Convenient, central loop location, with public transport options nearby or validated parking. Highly recommend seeing Angie Ng, LAc, at Acupuncture for Balanced Wellness, as well as Dr. Justin Martindale, chiropractor with Chicago Pain and Wellness, located in this same office. All thumbs way up for these health professionals and their support staff.

Angie has been a hugely helpful and caring practitioner in helping me navigate how to alleviate my body of stress and pain over the last year. She is thoughtful, stringent and very meticulous with her practice. I'd recommend visiting her specifically as a woman in her mid thirties seeking overall balance and wellness.

A friend recommended acupuncture to me as a way to address lower back pain from years of being a desk jockey. I'm grateful my first experience with acupuncture was with Angie! She is incredibly knowledgeable, skilled, and kind, and went out of her way to explain everything she was doing on my first few visits to help put me at ease and understand how acupuncture really works.

After my first session, I honestly felt like I was walking on air. The tension in my lower back had evaporated! I continued seeing Angie for the rest of my time in Chicago, and she helped me address other lingering issues in my neck, shoulders, and upper back, all of which I had accepted as inevitable, though now I know a lot better. The second I'm back in Chicago, I will be making appointments with Angie again!

I've been going to Acupuncture for Balanced Wellness for almost two years. Originally, I went for a few injuries-back, knee and hip. Angie Ng is amazing. She listens to you and adapts her treatment to your needs every session. She helped me heal quicker than without acupuncture. My injuries are gone, but I continue to see Angie as part of my general health and wellness at least once a month. Her acupuncture can improve or change your life. I highly recommend Angie!

I have been a client of Angie's for over five years and I have always appreciated and trusted her approach to wellness, particularly in regard to acupuncture. She utilizes traditional methods, but is also innovative in her practice. I have found acupuncture to be a valuable and necessary resource in my health routine and I feel lucky to have found such a thoughtful and compassionate professional to help guide me in my ongoing journey.

I started seeing Angie as I had some fertility concerns and wanted to get ahead of potential issues. To kick start the process I was seeing her twice a week for 2 months duration before we started trying - and well, we did it on our very first try! She's been great and I'm continuing to see her throughout the pregnancy. Definitely knows her stuff, answers all your questions and is very patient with me and super flexible with scheduling, I love her!

I have just great things to say about Angie! After years of trying IVF we had success - a lot of it was acupuncture here! I went to all other places like NEST etc and wasted a ton of money.
Angie is responsive, flexible and listens to her clients.

I first went to Angie for lower and upper back pain. Angie is professional and knowledgeable and she made me feel at ease right away. I have now been seeing her for 3 years. My back problems have resolved and I have reaped countless additional benefits from her. I sleep better, have more energy and am generally happier. I noticed the benefits after the first session.

I have recommended her to dozens of my coworkers all of whom now see her regularly. If you are on the fence about acupuncture as I was, give Angie a try. You won't regret it.

I had a successful IVF round after 2.5 months of acupuncture with Angie. I truly believe our acupuncture sessions helped improve things and led to a good outcome. Angie had me take some herbs and was very helpful. I highly recommended her.

I was so excited to find MAT (Muscle Activation Therapy) in Chicago that's covered by insurance! And in the Loop where I can go during lunch break! I used to pay for it out of pocket for the past few years because it's the only healing treatment that works on my stupid body and I was willing to try anything. I'd even tried rolfing, which is good too but really painful.

I prefer MAT where they test my muscles and work on the weaknesses. They usually identify a weak muscle that I didn't realize was related to the original tightness I mention. A pain in my neck might be due to an issue in my foot or hip, for example. My flexibility and range of motion have always been terrible since childhood, I can't even reach my shins most days when I stretch to reach for my toes, but the improvement I've noticed most from MAT is that I injure myself far less.

I used to get aches and pains or pull a muscle from simple everyday sort of movements, but MAT has made me more stable -- moving toward a normal human body. Ask for an appointment with Ralph Klisiewicz. A massage therapist had recommended MAT to me so I researched it and found Ralph's video, and now he's at the Acupuncture for Balanced Wellness office!

The office is really nice too. I was impressed because some of the offices I go to in these Loop high-rises are dated and stuck in the seventies. This office was very modern though. It's clean but not sterile or unfriendly like a clinic, it's a little like a spa even.

I had my first visit with Angie today. She was very nice and had excellent bedside manor. This was my first ever acupuncture treatment, and she took the time to get to know me and also to answer my questions. I look forward to continuing my treatment.

I went to Angie when I learned at 38 weeks that my baby was transverse lie (laying sideways/not head down) and that I may need an aversion and worst case scenario, a c-section. I called Angie's office immediately and she got me in for acupuncture 3 times that week and on an at-home regimen of moxibustion to supplement the effects of the acupuncture points.

When I showed up to Hospital, the nurses and doctors could not believe that the baby flipped so late in the pregnancy. Without Angie's help, I don't think I would have had the same favorable outcome. Angie has also helped me in the past with pain management and I have found her knowledgeable and her treatments very effective. Highly recommend!

I was seeing Angie for a year and a half and think she is an extremely effective and professional accupunturist. I started seeing her because I have IBS and was trying to get pregnant and wanted to stop taking my meds. She not only helped me regulate my digestive track but later helped me with fertility issues, stress and sleep. I can honestly say that I felt very balanced while receiving weekly Accupuncture treatments. I would highly recommend Angie!

Wow!! I went to a chiropractor for back and neck pain for the first half of the year and finally decided to try acupuncture... what an amazing treatment!
Angie listens so thoroughly to all of the issues I'm having and is able to help treat the root of the problem. Not only has she improved the stiffness in my upper back, neck, and shoulders, but she's also given me mood and anxiety therapy and treatment for digestive problems.

The procedures are painless and so relaxing. Angie makes sure you're completely comfortable with the treatment she's providing and seems to have a real passion for her work. I would most certainly recommend her practice to anyone, especially those who find that chiropractic therapy is helpful, but not quite the "above and beyond" treatment that can truly solve underlying issues.

I've had chronic issues due to my figure skating background, and not only does Angie listen, she gets to the root of the issue. Words can't describe how much better I feel after visiting Angie. And I've been going to chiropractors since I was 13.

Angie has been helping me with my chronic neck and shoulder pain for almost 6 months now and have seen great results due to her service! I have had this chronic pain for over 10 years, and having her as my acupuncturist, she has helped alleviate most of my symptoms! I can actually sleep at night in a normal sleeping position- whether that is on my back or just on my side.

She is extremely passionate in what she does and I would truly recommend her to anyone who is curious and interested in trying some alternative measures! Angie is the answer!

I first saw Angie when I sprained my ankle. The sprain was severe and the swelling prevented me from walking. After the first session of acupuncture, the swelling decreased significantly. I was able to walk. I returned for three more acupuncture treatments and I was back to playing volleyball two weeks after the sprain. About a few months later, I banged my knee with an opponent while playing volleyball.

The knee was swollen and I could barely walk. Once again, I saw Angie for an acupuncture session and the swelling nearly abated with one treatment! Ever since, I have been regularly getting acupuncture treatments for aches and pains resulting from playing volleyball and working out. In addition, I have been receiving acupuncture treatments for relaxation and stress relief.

Thanks to Angie, I have grown to regard acupuncture as an effective healing modality. I have also been impressed with broad application of acupuncture, as it can be used to treat anything from an ankle injury to stress.

I went to see Angie after seeking out many different forms of therapy for my back pain and anxiety. Angie took the time to listen to my concerns and helped bring great relief for my issues. Although acupuncture is no overnight cure, after consistent treatments, I continue to feel better and better. Overall, acupuncture has helped me more than any other therapy
