After years of driving past the sign on North Main, I finally went to a free trial class for their adult karate program. Now I wish I had stopped in sooner! This is a small dojo with a great community of students and sensei. There's a good variety of class options so you can definitely find a class that fits your interests and exercise goals.

I love having the opportunity to learn different martial arts and now attend weapons and swordsmanship classes in addition to learning karate. I definitely recommend trying a class! Also, don't be afraid to reach out to the owners, I promise that they're super nice :

I found out about Main Street Martial Arts when I was in high school and almost 10 years late, I finally came in to try a few classes. I didn't realize how much fun it was and I'm really mad at myself for not coming it sooner. Main St Martial Arts has lots of classes and I'm having a lot of fun learning Karate, Samurai Sword, and Jyo staff training, and that only covers half the classes.

It's a great way to stay active and I've made some great friends in such a short time. My sensei are very nice and down to earth, and they all teach really solid info that you can genuinely apply to your life outside of the dojo. I love every second being there and I would highly recommend trying it out. If you check out the website and follow the instructions, you can get a 1 month free trial. If you know anyone who's interested in martial arts or like Cobra Kai, tell them to check it out!

I've been studying aikido at Main Street Martial Arts for about nine months know and I have really enjoyed every class! The instructors are deeply invested in the craft of aikido and share that passion and knowledge freely. Every person who practices there is supportive and welcoming. I'm really excited about the upcoming women-only classes! I look forward to every session on the mat.

Where the Arts & Life Are One! Main Street Martial Arts is a non-profit arts school & community center. The owners/managers/instructors are volunteers with a combined 59 years of experience! They are local East Side residents who truly care about their students & community! They are helping me to build up my confidence with self-defense training. While also increasing my strength & wellbeing! They are a valued treasure here on the East Side! You must come to experience Main Street Martial Arts for yourself! I promise you won't be disappointed!

My 7 year old son's teacher recommended martial arts to help his behavior at school. He has been taking Taekwon-do with Abtin Timothy at MSMA for almost 2 months and not only does he love it but his behavior has been so much better. The school and staff are fantastic, and Abtin Timothy is one of those teachers that can command respect and be fun at the same time. Can't say enough good things about this place.

I would definitely recommend Main Streets Martial Arts to anyone looking to get started in the martial arts. The positive training environment allows for all levels of training and the instructors really work with you to help you to achieve your goals. As an Aikido and Iaijutsu student I've been challenged both physically and intellectually. Werth Sensei (Aikido) and McGuirl Sensei (Joshima Budo) are both friendly, approachable, and highly trained. MSMA keeps with dojo traditions while keeping the training fun and enjoyable. If you're contemplating on where to start training, Main St. Martial Arts is the place to go to!
