Many women struggle for years with mild to severe symptoms from peri-menopause through menopause. In our current world, we are exposed to many toxins that are called endocrine disruptors. Your endocrine system is responsible for making and utilizing your hormones correctly. Due to endocrine disruptors, many women are not able to make the correct balance of hormones. Having unbalanced hormones can make you susceptible to cancers, especially female cancers. Hormone testing is also available for men.

Toxins are in our air, food, body, household and industrial products. We are exposed to toxins on a daily basis and this is a growing concern for our health. Exposure to toxins can contribute to acute or chronic problems with our immune, nervous and hormone systems. Toxins are stored in our fat and may be passed on to future generations. We can do an environmental assessment and testing for your body's toxicant load.
Ms. Andrs is a member of the prestigious International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS) and follows their approach to diagnosis and treatment.
- I would not recommend this business
- Personal atmosphere, friendly people
- Communication, inability to give general warning of major costs, not the best receptionist help
I had tried to get a general estimate for some labs I was referred to Ands Wellness for several times. I was looking for a general price quote because I am essentially a cash patient the way my insurance is structured during certain points of the year. I had said this up-front before even scheduling the appointment as well as consistently after. Things like "discounted prices for cash patients" were originally assured to me after mentioning this to both doctors (my referring doctor talking about Andrs Wellness & Andrs Wellness themselves). Despite saying this up-front it all ended up being of little to no avail because I got a bill for about $1,800 (for the labs alone) like I was afraid.
Before this I would get in touch with Dr. Andrs or the receptionist who would tell me I needed to talk to the lab. Then I would get in touch with the lab's billing dept. (which was very helpful) who would tell me that the doctors should definitely be able to give me some prices for certain blood panels and if they couldn't do that, they needed their insurance agent to call them, not me. Of course the lab said this because I had to call Andrs Wellness and ask what panels I was having done, (they also originally had trouble giving me this info. – but I called back for them again because I knew they had been sent there weeks prior) which makes no sense for the patient to ask for and try to communicate over the phone to a lab. I am not a doctor.
I cannot be the only cash patient out there who needs an estimate in order to plan how to be able to pay a bill, especially large health expenses. My original doctor who referred me told me it would cost about $500-600, which alone was too much for me, hence all the preemptive attempts to communicate with Andrs' office and plan. Boy was that way off. I was also told labs would be sent directly to me multiple times during these communications with Wellness' office, which also didn't happen so I had to again contact the lab (but was apologized for by Andrs).
So I want to warn folks, do not listen to the answers you are given because you really need to push to get the simple questions answered and if they can't be answered, just bail. You should know ahead of time what you are getting into, it's not too much to ask. Despite the office being filled with nice people, which I saying honestly, it does not change the fact that I felt like these concerns I expressed fell upon deaf ears. I work in the health field and make a point to never encourage people into paying for things they express concern over being able to afford. If I say my insurance probably won't pay for most of the lab expenses at this point, don't continually say that most peoples insurance does pay for the labs. I just explained my insurance doesn't.
