Adrenal fatigue is a common occurrence in virtually all forms of chronic illness. As such, any thorough protocol aimed at restoring health will eventually need to provide some form of adrenal support. Located on the top of each kidney, the adrenal glands are responsible for production of multiple cellular mediators including stress hormones, sex hormones and neurotransmitters.
Heart disease continues to be one of the leading causes of death in the US. Sadly, many people go undiagnosed and experience a heart attack or a stroke as their first sign of underlying disease. At BCNC, we take a preventative approach to cardiovascular conditions such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, obesity and high blood sugar.
Digestive symptoms including gas and bloating, abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and reflux are common problems that can be caused from a wide array of conditions. At BCNC, our goal is to determine the root cause of these symptoms. We evaluate for food sensitivities, celiac disease and gluten-related conditions, dysbiosis (abnormal bacteria in the large intestine), IBD (irritable bowel disease), colitis (inflammation of the colon), and parasites. We also recommend breath testing to diagnose Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) and fructose intolerance concerns.

Pleasant staff, warm hospitality, good communication. Appointment was on time. ND's spend up to 90 minutes with a patient and I appreciate the time, attention and written clinical summary that they give you after the session ends. Would appreciate being informed of the cost ahead of time for each service offered AND pharmacy products. They do hold $100 of your money and deduct for missed appointments and/or their products. Overall great experience and I would recommend it to both family and friends seeking medical advise and alternative forms of treatment.

Will not be going back to this clinic. Not impressed with Dr Philhower nor the billing department. I was seen in September and while making my appointment, specified it would be a 'wellness visit' for my insurance incentive. Once arriving I reiterated this to Dr Philhower and brought the forms that needed to be filled out. So far, my insurance hasn't received the claim; I've tried to get in touch with the billing department for two weeks with no return call.

After contacting them again for an update, I was told by Cher (who was very helpful) a note was left by the biller stating she spoke with Dr Philhower and she will not be billing as a preventative code because I didn't specify this type of visit when scheduling! Unbelievable, so apparently, now it's my error! I was not happy with the care I received at this clinic, Dr Philhower tends to make you feel like a nuisance; I will be happy to return to my former PCP.

I started my health journey about 2 years ago, I never felt right and I ended up going to about 9 different doctors. They all said "you have anxiety", "there's nothing wrong with you" and "more anxiety". I finally was referred to Dr Thomas Messinger and at our first consultation I knew right away he ACTUALLY cared about my health and he pretty much nailed my diagnosis before we even started the testing process.

I had Lyme, bartonella and mold toxicity. It has been a long process back to health but it's been an amazing ride. Not once has Dr Messinger steered me wrong. Each step of the way he nailed the treatment and I'm back to 99% healthy. I feel like a million bucks and I owe it all to Dr Messinger and he's completely changed my entire view on medicine and natural medicine.

There were times I wanted to give up but his positivity about my treatment was encouraging and spot on! I owe a lot to Dr Messinger and the entire clinic for my new found views on life and my health! I could not recommended him more and I hope this review helps someone else make the decision to visit Bear Creek. Thanks so much Dr Tom.

Dr Cory and each staff member run an exemplary Clinic! Every interaction for 4-5 years has been very professional. All communications have been clear & productive. My issues are complex long term and challenging! I find Dr Cory to be highly skilled / knowledgeable re latest research and treatments, and also very personable, thoughtful compassionate, enthusiastic to interact with.

My condition was greatly deteriorating - prior to becoming a client here. I was at my worst. Investing in treatment at this Clinic was paramount to my healing & improving my quality of life

I can't speak for the clinic as a whole, rather this review is for Dr. Tom Messenger. I have been his patient for two years and followed him from his private practice in Portland to him joining Bear Creek here. He is, hands down, the best doctor I have ever had. He spends unpaid hours answering questions, sending in lab requests, writing referrals to work with other providers, and does his best to work within my budget when prescribing protocols.

He understands how expensive having lyme disease is, and I feel that he does his best to not add to that problem. Tom stays up to date on the most advanced research and I feel that he prescribes me protocols that really work. They are intense at times, but they work. Most importantly, he is willing to be educated and listens with compassion. I do feel that he goes out of his way to make this process easier for me, rather than harder. I've battled a lot of egoic doctors, Tom is not one of them, he has saved my life and earned my trust.

This place takes advantage of people when they are desperate to find a relief from their health conditions. After spending $1000's of dollars with this provider he treated my fiance with such rudeness and disrespect & is refusing to sign off on his oxygen prescription renewal. He his not Lyme Literate but will run a series of expensive tests and sell you a suitcase full of expensive supplements just to turn around and tell you he isn't Lyme Literate.

I am a dialysis patient and have been for three years. I am not a candidate for a transplant. I am a father and husband. In desperation I went to this clinic against the advice of.my nephrologist. I sat though the evaluation process with my wife and my mother. 750 dollars for the supplements counsel and review. Dr. Dan said he was familiar with my condition and began writing out a diet that would have caused more damage to my kidneys.

He was telling me to eat whole grains and mostly vegis. On dialysis Vegitables like heavy greens such as kale are highly restricted because of the chemicals like phosphorus your body cannot filter out. You can only have a cup of vegitables a day when on dialysis. Beans and nuts are filled with potassium which can stop my heart. All these things he suggested I eat.

My wife flipped out. She said, "You are going to kill my husband, not in a year or a month but this WEEK!" Dr. Dan was shocked. Several hundred dollars later and I was no better off. Make sure if you go here that you know what it is you are after. I'm sure they help many people but if you are under the care of a specialist please listen to them.

Dr. Daniel Smith has been a lifesaver. My husband struggled with getting a diagnosis for over 10 years. We seen all sorts of Doctors, ran all sorts of tests and spent thousands of dollars trying to figure out what was going on and with Dr. Dan Smith it took just a few visits to get diagnosed! We are still working through treatment but already his health has improved. They take great care and interest in their patients, I would highly recommend Bear Creek Naturopathic and Dr. Daniel Smith.
