We absolutely love Circle Yoga and have been taking classes for years! My almost 12 year old daughter has always been treated with kindness, compassion and love. The summer camp is the best! They incorporate art, movement, and positive self-awareness. I highly recommend this beautiful establishment.

I began going to Circle Yoga remotely during the pandemic. I live in Virginia and would never be able to have access to the studio. It is fantastic! I specifically enjoy yoga Nidra and gentle yoga. The instructors are top-notch and class feels like a community. I would not go anywhere else! It is well worth the money.

This has been my yoga studio since 2010 and I'm so grateful for it. The studio's attentiveness to our well being and safety is among its many attributes. Instructors are extremely skillful for all levels of students. Being a co-op is added bonus! CY has managed through this pandemic offering Zoom classes that kept us all going. There is simply no other yoga studio in the DC metro area to compare to its variety of classes, skill level and management. Anyone interested in beginning/returning to yoga or expanding their yoga practice, this is the place for you.

I love, love, love Circle Yoga and have been going there for years. The teachers are absolutely top notch and the studio is incredibly welcoming for people of all levels of experience. There are virtual and in person options. I have done yoga all over the country and this studio is very special.

I've been taking classes here for over a decade. The community is caring, innovative, welcoming. Most of my classes have been with Mercedes Santos--flow and meditation--and she is a wonder. She brings a deep understanding of the practice and philosophy of yoga to students with a range of ability and experience, and teaches with grace and humor. Other classes I've tried have been equally good. I would give Circle Yoga more than five stars if I could!

Circle Yoga isn't only a yoga studio. It is a community of caring, involved individuals. The teachers and students are invested in each other and the world around them. It has been a lifeline for me throughout the pandemic, as they navigated the safety protocols and made decisions to keep the studio running and the community safe. I am back in person and it feels great to be there live with my wonderful teachers and classmates! Mira

I went to my first in-person yoga class today in 3.5 years at Circle Yoga. I was a little nervous because it had been so long and my body is very different than the last time I practiced (I've had 2 babies since then + the pandemic happened!) Also, I realized on my way there that I had forgotten to bring a mask. From the moment I walked in, everyone at Circle Yoga made me feel confident and welcome.

The person at the front desk quickly checked me in and gave me a disposable mask. The class itself was 75 minutes. At first I thought it was a little slow (lots of stretching), but it heated up and I was sweating by the end. I feel so lucky to have Circle Yoga in my neighborhood & definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to practice in a respectful and positive place.

Circle Yoga is an incredible studio. The staff is very warm and welcoming, and the studio is open and clean. I was drawn to the studio because they were one of the few in the DC area that offered in-person prenatal yoga classes. I felt safe with vaccine and mask requirements in place. The instructor, Jen, is amazing and offers modifications to help each individual.

I've been going to Circle Yoga since 2012 and am still impressed by the quality of the teachers, the wide variety of classes to choose from and the overall experience of the studio. The teachers are knowledgeable, careful to prevent injury and the staff is friendly and responsive. During the pandemic their pivot to zoom classes was a lifesaver. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Circle Yoga is such a special place for me and my family. I started taking their prenatal classes with my first and continued growing with their class offerings from there. So lucky to have a such a bright and happy studio close to home!

Circle Yoga is a terrific place to practice yoga - safe, welcoming, and inclusive. I took in-person classes for many years before the pandemic and appreciated their experienced teachers, lovely studio, and willingness to learn and evolve over time. It absolutely isn't a "scene" the way some DC studios can be. They have worked so hard to pivot and pivot again during the pandemic, and are now offering both excellent online and in-person classes (with safety front of mind).

I take a class with my toddler and the instructor is AMAZING! Not only is she incredibly accommodating and patient, she's also great at planning classes that are engaging to the age group. I started it as a "let's see how it goes" and I've already signed up for the next session.

Circle Yoga is awesome! I attended the "Mommy and me" class and it was exactly what we needed! My son loved looking at the other Moms and children and I desperately needed to get out of the house. Parking was easy (there are tons of metered spaces) and the class a wonderful size (not too big, not too small). It seemed as if a lot of the Moms knew it each other. I suspect they either attend the class weekly or met while taking Circle Yoga's "Prenatal" class. It was a very welcoming studio and I left with a great impression!

I grew up in yoga in San Francisco and, since moving away 5 years ago, have never been able to find comparable communities and teachers anywhere, particularly Ashtanga ones. I still haven't found the perfect studio for me in DC (have been here for a couple of months only), but Circle Yoga will be among the top 2 I bet. It's a beautiful, bright, and clean studio.

The students are lovely and friendly. The teachers are wonderful, open, and inviting. I wish there was chanting and meditation incorporated into the classes, but I guess that's unusual in many studios that aren't in California. The studio doesn't seem to adhere to any one style of yoga. So far, I've found that the classes are an amalgamation of yoga and non-yoga practices.

I do wish there were more classes that are a bit more robust and challenging, but that's just my personal preference and probably doesn't speak to the quality of the teachers or the studio.

I am honestly very new to this Yoga. I've attended yoga venues in the D.C. area but this place by far is absolutely the nicest and cleanest location I have ever seen. I received a very warm welcome at the front desk by Jen. The reception area alone is very cozy and relaxing in and of itself, and I was intrigued to find many cool items of interesting merchandise that they offer for sale.

They were even do kind as to offer me delicious bits of orange chocolate! Their actual yoga studio upstairs is also very well lit, well aerated, comfortable and clean, and the instructors are awesome. It may be some time unfortunately before I can take another yoga class but when I do it will most definitely be here. Thank you all especially Jen for the fantastic welcome and outstanding customer service!

I have been taking classes at Circle Yoga for 4 years and can't recommend it highly enough. Bonnie Foote is a wonderful instructor for beginners--warm, funny, endlessly supportive, while always encouraging progress. The make-up policy is generous so I have had classes with many other teachers and have been impressed with the range of approaches and styles. None has disappointed.

This is the best yoga studio! I've been attending classes here for about 6 years, and I can't say enough positive things about my experiences there. The teachers are very professional, the atmosphere is relaxed and supportive, and the class offerings are varied and thorough. I've tried yoga classes in a number of studios in the DC metro area, and I enjoy this one the most because the focus is on what's best for you as opposed to being a competitive yoga environment.

I also really appreciate how much the teachers are focused on alignment and not speed of the yoga flow. I've learned a lot about my body and how to promote my overall well-being. I highly recommend this studio!

Don't know what I'd do without Circle Yoga! I've been a regular for something like 7(?) years, and it's become an essential part of my life. Wonderful teachers and a fantastic community of students.

I've been a Circle Yoga student for 4 years and am completely hooked. I take two classes a week. While both are Level 1, they are very different. One gives greater emphasis to alignment and biomechanics, the other more to the spiritual side of yoga. I travel a lot so I really appreciate the generous make-up policy, and make-up classes let me experience the huge range of teachers at Circle Yoga. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming so it's easy to be a beginner here and also to make progress in my practice.

Circle Yoga on North Hampton in WDC is just simply the best. I have been to several yoga studios on both East and West coast. There is an especially genuine caring atmosphere at Circle to help find our own body rhythms and mental well being. Each teacher has a unique method and gift. I have experience sessions with several of the instructors and find this to be true of each one's commitment to helping us as students create strong bodies and tranquil minds. It is a safe and invigorating environment. How lucky I am to have relocated to the WDC area and find Circle Yoga.

I've done a consistent yoga practice for 15+ yrs., about 8 at CY In my younger years I tried Bikram (too hot and dangerous!), Forrest (toes always up!), Ashtanga (too athletic!), Iyengar (too fussy!) and then found the co-ooperative, CY.ah, a breath of fresh air. Yoga at all levels, for all bodies, for all abilities, taught with excellent instructors, mindfully caring. A true gift to our community!

I took a complimentary toddler & me yoga class here with my son and was really impressed. The facility was really nice and in a convenient location. The class was well run and interesting- several teachers, a variety of activities that were age appropriate. Teachers were great at engaging with the kids and rolling with the punches!

Circle yoga is the best-kept secret in the Chevy Chase MD/DC area! I have experimented with many different studios in the area and Circle Yoga is still my favorite. The teachers are incredibly knowledgeable in safe yoga moves. Circle yoga has helped me build my own yoga practice in a safe and Meaningful way. Much love to circle yoga and the yogis there. It has certainly changed my life for the stronger. It really is good to be the

I discovered Circle Yoga last fall but really started taking full advantage since Summer 2016. It started with the Yin Yoga classes by Yael and then I was hooked. I signed up for another summer session with Anne Kennedy. I was hooked further. Over the summer months I got to try different teachers and classes, such as flow, yin and yoga 1-2 and I have had unique and great experiences with each.

I can truly say after about 15 or so classes now that this is a place where mind and body truly can meet and the instructors and owners really make an effort to help you through this journey. I did Bikram, down dog yoga and tried a couple of other studios around DC. I find a lot of places are about competition and trying to get the pose right and constantly pushing yourself to achieve.

While this is one of my goals, it is not my sole goal. A good yoga studio would accommodate your dreams of achievements as well as help you travel to the parts of your mind and body which needs work, healing and strengthening. And this, when done in a non-competitive setting, just works a lot better, at least for me. And circle yoga to me is one of the places of peace and moving beyond the daily hurdles through inner and outer work.

I just signed up for fall classes yesterday and really looking forward. They also have a great policy of making up for classes you may miss within a semester. You get to try different teachers that way, or stick to your own if you desire. Bottom line, I am so glad I found the circle!

Took prenatal yoga class with Elizabeth on Thursday nights, and it became a real community of fellow pregnant ladies! Elizabeth is a gem and her class is a combo of yoga and sharing about one's pregnancy experiences. She has a lovely way about her - non judgmental, encouraging and funny. Highly recommend this class and Emily's Saturday morning prenatal yoga class, which is less talk, more yoga. Both teachers are wonderful. Do both classes if your schedule permits!

I started attending Circle Yoga a few months ago, and I could not be happier with the instructors or the vibe. This is a true neighborhood yoga space with people of all shapes and sizes and affluence. The instructors are unbelievably patient and welcoming to even their smallest visitors. They take the time to modify poses for the less flexible and the injured. Plus there is a cool little bookstand in the front with titles to purchase that you don't see everyday. Love them, and I will keep attending.

I give core 72 4 stars for its line of business which is selling women athletic ware. I can hope those that shop at core 72 are going to circle yoga. Circle yoga gets 4 stars because its in a good location. It teaches yoga to those that have the interest to learn it. It has summer camp for the kids. It participates in neighborhood events.

I was pleasantly surprised by this little yoga place, which I experienced through a reasonably priced ($33) temporary membership for three classes. I feared a snobbish/cliquey atmosphere given the area's affluence, but this place is really down-to-earth and comfortable. You can tell every class has its regulars, but newcomers and drop-ins are made to feel more than welcome.

The studio space itself is bright, clean and comfortable, and the instructors are laid back yet helpful. I'm a fan of practical yoga that's light on the "om's" and doesn't stretch toward spirituality. Circle Yoga fit that bill for me, giving me a few solid workouts. If I lived permanently in the area I'd consider a membership.

Thus far I've only attended one workshop at Circle Yoga, but it was a wonderful experience and I will be back for more. The teacher, Kate, was friendly, witty and - most importantly - very good. She was encouraging, knew when correct and tried to make it as fun as possible. The class I participated in took place in the "kids studio" on the first floor, which is a bit strangely laid out (including having an in-studio restroom, i.e. accessible only from inside the studio), but I loved the natural light coming in through all the windows.

I liked the feel of the building itself -- there is a separate small room for shoes and coats, the front desk area had an interesting selection of books and other items for sale. Circle has an enormous variety of weekly classes, and offers a lot of special classes and workshops. One of the cooler things (IMHO, anyway!): the programs for kids. Damn, I wish I would have been introduced to yoga at age 6! One drawback is parking in this area, but if you are looking for a good place for yoga, I highly recommend checking out Circle Yoga.

I am new to yoga and Circle Yoga has been exceptional in introducing me to the discipline. I had never taken a yoga class or even been in a yoga center before starting last spring. I felt comfortable and welcome from the beginning. The instructor took time to know why I was attending the class, what physical issues I was trying to address and any injuries that she should be aware or.

I am a runner and the yoga practice has significantly improved my flexibility and knowledge about my own body. The instructors are extremely good at working with participants that range in physical conditioning and flexibility and help everyone to understand the importance of each position and how to get the most out them. I have gone from being reluctant about yoga to being absolutely committed to this being a part of my regular fitness program.

It is something that I look forward to every week. The building is clean, simple and well organized. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The instructors are very knowledgeable and incredibly supportive (especially for someone like me that is not very flexible to begin with).

Maybe I shouldn't be doling out 5 stars so freely after just one visit, but after my 7am all-level class today w/instructor Bonnie Foote, I feel compelled to say just how impressed I was. For years I've been trying to find the right fit when it comes to yoga, and this just might be it. I've got body issues (hyper-mobility, osteopenia, arthritis & I'm a lifelong runner), and I've actually injured myself at other yoga studios (that have also received 5 stars on yelp, BTW).

I always feel like Goldilocks when it comes to taking yoga, one class is so hard I'm exhausted & shaking just while trying to get myself in a pose ( as an ex-gymnast I mistakenly thought this would be a piece of cake). I'm not supposed to compare myself to the others, but everyone else is so strong & flexible that I feel like a weak loser in the first 10 minutes.

Another class is so slow that I'm freezing & bored, and I want to go home right away except that I paid $18 to drop-in and hate starting & not finishing. And another class is so crowded someone's less-than-manicured toes are in my face & it's August. What's with all that loud breathing? and with the lying around on the floor? I just got out of bed an hour ago & want to move.

But not so much that I can't make it through the rest of my active day! My 7am class with Bonnie was good. An insightful instructor, we did some things for the hips which I greatly appreciated & she told me how to adjust. I felt a good stretch, not a painful stretch. It is a crowded class& I had just enough room to move about. I didn't mind being the beginner that I am. $19 drop-in fee, clean facility.

In the stix of Conn. ave & practically in Md, but that's alright a first class, as a beginner, and after running up Conn. Ave for 30 minutes to get to class (tight hips need help). There wasn't too much lying around, only at the end. I plan on coming next week which is a rare thing for me to say about a yoga class.

I am relatively new to yoga but knew that I needed a better way to stretch between biking and running. I have been taking yoga classes at Circle Yoga for the past year and thoroughly enjoy the environment, teachers, staff and students. Though initially nervous that I might be the lone guy in class, this has rarely been the case. I look forward to my Tuesday evening class with Mary and can already see great results in my flexibility (even without Mary's gentle pressure.). Thanks Circle Yoga!

I am lucky enough to have this as my neighborhood yoga center, but I would drive for miles to get here if I didn't. Circle is not one of those yoga centers where you feel out-of-place if you can't do a headstand or wear one of those hip white leotards anymore. It's a center for everyone, regardless of age or ability. They offer the full range of yoga classes, tai chi, pilates, as well as classes for kids, teens, and special conditions (e.g. breast cancer recovery). The spirit of the place is set by its wonderful owner, Annie Mahon, who is spiritual, compassionate, and has a great sense of humor.
