Dr. Catalano is very passionate about offering a new paradigm in health care. One of prevention and achieving optimal health through natural and holistic methods.
Across all of our treatment protocols and modalities, our functional approach recognizes the interconnection between the systems of the body. We focus on underlying causes, healthy lifestyle changes, and treatments that increase the body's ability to achieve optimum function and prevent disease. We are an integrative practice and we do believe that at times traditional prescriptions and medical therapies may be appropriate and necessary, but we are always looking for the safest and most effective approach to healing, rejuvenation and prevention.
Doctors and scientist used to think our genes were locked and couldn't be influenced. We now know through the study of Epigenetics, that this is untrue. Epigenetics is the study of changes in gene expression caused by certain base pairs in DNA, or RNA, being "turned off" or "turned on" again. We now can turn off bad genes, and turn on good ones through diet, exercise, nutrition, and environment. New genetic and other functional testing can give us accurate information to optimize these gene expressions with the best diet, nutrition and exercise programs.

If you’re looking for a real solution to your problem and not just symptom care, we can help!
Understanding that over 70% of the immune system is found in the “GUT” and how food and environmental allergies, the need for detoxification, and nutritional deficiencies affects chronic conditions, auto-immunity, and overall health, is essential for success.
We will pay particular attention to digestive function, food/chemical sensitivities, and hormonal balance as they relate to these disorders.
The goal is to induce positive, functional changes in the immune system, detoxification pathways, restore nutritional deficiencies.
We have seen many positive changes occur with the following conditions:
Fibromyalgia/ Chronic Fatigue
Learning Disorders (LD)
Irritable Bowel Syndrome / Crohn’s / Ulcerative Colitis
Hypothyroid / Hashimoto’s / Hyperthyroid disorders
Other Autoimmune Conditions…
I have an autoimmune condition that I've been treating conventionally for 13 years. Despite all the mess I still felt awful. Dr Catalano did extensive testing to find out why and oh boy what an eye opener!! I can't thank him enough for his help and support and I truly feel I'm on the right course now...thank you Dr Catalano!!!
He is very patient and knowledgeable about autoimmune diseases and has really helped my conditions! Very thankful to him.
Doctor Ed is the best Chiropractor ever! And I've had enough that I should know :) He's the only one I've ever met who actually takes the time to touch each verterbra, determining which ones are fine and which need adjusting. He's as strong as he needs to be, but never rough or forceful. Furthermore, he's a humble and kind person who truly wants the best for his patients. I always feel cared for when I'm in his hands. As an example: Just today I went in for a treatment. I asked him a question while he was working on my neck (where he has to be extra gentle, since I have a neck injury in my past)...it was a benign question about something or other...I don't even remember what it was.
But here was his response: "Let me answer that in a minute, buddy...I like to concentrate while I work." I thought it was so cool that he put treating me to the best of his ability above making idle chit chat. I felt really taken care of in that moment, as I always do with him. But then, that's Doctor Ed to a tee: he puts his patients' welfare above all else. By the way, after he was done treating me, we spent a few minutes on the idle chit chat haha...so I got the best of both worlds. You know, I read a few of these negative reviews on here, and I find that there's one common theme: they make huge assumptions about a person they've never even met -- very incorrect assumptions, in my experience. All it takes is 2 minutes with the man to sense how grounded and caring he is -- and once he puts his hands on you, you'll know immediately that you are with a safe and knowledgeable expert. So do your spine a favor and introduce it to Doctor Ed...you won't regret it!!

Adrenal Fatigue is a condition in which the adrenal glands function at a sub-optimal level when patients are at rest, under stress, or in response to consistent, intermittent, or sporadic demands. The adrenal glands are two small triangle shaped glands that sit on top of the kidneys and are responsible for secreting over 50 different hormones-including epinephrine, cortisol, progesterone, DHEA, estrogen, and testosterone. The adrenal glands are the backbone of our hormonal system and the signaling that goes on in our body between our brain and the rest of the body.
Our gut microbiota contains tens of trillions of microorganisms, including at least 1000 different species of known bacteria with more than 3 million genes (150 times more than human genes). Microbiota can, in total, weigh up to 2 kg. One third of our gut microbiota is common to most people, while two thirds are specific to each one of us. In other words, the microbiota in your intestine is like an individual identity card. In the last few decades, DNA analysis has transformed the field of microbiology.
Testing your first morning urine pH is the best way to tell if your body is too acidic. Your first morning urine pH gives a good indicator of your body's mineral reserve and its acid/alkaline state. The body routinely uses overnight rest time to excrete excess acids. This capacity varies based on toxin load and individual ability to make energy, to make toxins inactive, and to excrete them. Being too acidic has even been linked to cancer formation, heart disease, diabetes, and osteoporosis. Measuring your pH is a very simple test you can actually do by yourself in the comfort of your own home.
