Are you curious about yoga and its benefits, but unsure of what to expect or where to start?. Whether you are brand new to yoga, or are returning to yoga after a break, you are in the right place. Here at Jane's House, we have several starting points to offer you that are carefully crafted to help you start yoga, develop the fundamental skills to feel successful, and most importantly, to have fun!.
Join Vinotha Raja on Sundays at 8:15 for a 60-minute "work-in." This class will use the first 30 minutes to open the body with Asana to prepare for Pranayama (breath-work) followed by Chanting Aum (OM) which is the sound of all sounds brought together. Yoga is not a work-out, it is a work-in. And this is the point of spiritual practice; to make us teachable; to open up our hearts and focus our awareness so that we can know what we already know and be who we already are.Kapalabhati is used as a means for sensitizing the lower belly to various degrees of subtle activity and passivity.
This is a beautiful time of life but can come with challenges and when we can share, it divides the efforts and multiplies the joys! We hope you join us. During pregnancy, your body goes through many changes, which creates stress on you mentally and physically. A way to maintain a healthy mind and body is prenatal yoga because it focuses on poses for pregnant women, to increase strength and flexibility. It also helps pregnant women to develop proper breathing and relaxation techniques for easier and more comfortable labor.
In Ayurveda, correct nutrition is important. The digestive force (Agni) has a therapeutic effect: it converts food into energy and components for life. That is why it is important to provide our body with those foods that suit our specific constitution. Along with the therapeutic interventions and yoga & meditation, diet is one of the three pillars in Ayurveda.

Amazing in studio class this morning! I feel completely opened and my stress relieved. I haven't felt this great in a long time. The studio is so clean and socially distanced appropriate. Full of light and great energy here!

This place and this community are cherished by many. Everyone is truly welcome. I've been fortunate to travel and experience classes in other places and I return with fresh appreciation for the skill of JH teachers every single time.

Sunday was my fiirst visit to Jane's House. The 6pm Basic Yoga class was excellent. Bird, the instructor was friendly and gave clear, calm guidance throughout the 60minutes. The whole environment at Jane's is warm and inviting. The space is clean and bright and happy. I left the class feeling stronger and more confident in my body. Yoga can be deeply personal and I drove home, looking at the pink and orange clouds lit up by the setting sun I felt so peaceful. I am already looking forward to my next Sunday 6pm Yoga class with Bird at Jane's House, it's a great way to end the week and get ready for Monday. Thank you.

I've been practicing yoga for well nigh on 20 years now and have studied with masters in incredible schools of learning. Jane's House is at the top of the list of incredible places to practice and study. Robin Buck has cultivated a space truly in alignment with the principles of yoga, a nurturing space to face the challenge of self-inquiry and self-discovery and leave the mat a more brilliant reflection of self.

Just finished taking my first class at Jane's House of Well Being and only second class ever. Every teacher there tonight was extremely welcoming and made me feel right at home. The class itself was great and exactly what I was hoping for in a beginner's class in terms of the pace, helping with positions and the calming effect of ending meditation. I will definitely be back. I highly recommend that anyone who thinks about trying Yoga give Jane's House of Well Being a try.
