From Our Website
Each human being is a world in miniature, a garden in which doctor and patient together strive to cultivate health and happiness. Every person has a unique terrain to be mapped, a resilient yet sensitive ecology to be maintained. Like a gardener uses irrigation, nutrients, and compost to grow robust healthy plants, the Oriental Medical Doctor uses acupuncture, herbs, oriental bodywork, natural foods, and daily exercise to recover and sustain a patient's health. The goal of your treatment is to balance and harmonize Yin and Yang, wet and dry, cold and heat, inner and outer, and body and mind.
In the past 5,000 years, more people have been successfully treated with acupuncture and herbs than with all other health modalities combined. Treatments can be given at the same time other techniques are being used. It is, therefore, very important that your Oriental Medical Doctor knows everything that you are doing, so they can help you get the most benefit from all your medical care. Ancient Oriental herbal formulas are even more effective than they were when first introduced more than 4,000 years ago.
Oriental Medical Doctors are considered some of the finest diagnosticians in medical history, using unsurpassed techniques that have been developed over thousands of years. Basic diagnostic techniques include a thorough medical history, visual diagnosis, tongue diagnosis, abdominal palpation and an extensive pulse diagnosis. A thorough medical history includes details that you have never been asked by your western doctors. Detailed history includes your likes and dislikes, your diet, and your good habits as well as your bad habits.
Over the centuries, refined needle insertion techniques have been developed which enable your OMD to place a needle with very little or no sensation. Our clinic uses only pre-sterilized, FDA-approved, disposable needles of the finest possible quality. These Japanese needles are very thin, about the size of a human hair, and rarely draw blood or fluids. Insertion of these slender, sterilized needles goes unnoticed by most, and feels like a small tap followed by a sensation of tingling, numbness, or traveling warmth; this feeling is from Qi moving through the body.
Our goal is to make each visit a positive, pleasant experience and to help you lead a life of ongoing health and happiness. We offer state-of-the-art natural healthcare in a beautiful, warm and relaxed environment. Both are historically proven as effective methods for the treatment of physical, psychological and emotional disorders. Medically documented for over 4,000 years, acupuncture and Oriental medicine have been embraced throughout the world. Countless studies, from ancient times to the present, have proven that Oriental medicine is a safe and cost-effective method for achieving vitality and natural health.
