Working with Lisa has transformed my life! we met over zoom for 3 incredible sessions that have helped me so much. My initial intention was to feel more confident within myself and after the 3rd session I felt more myself than ever before. I was able to start a passion project of mine that I had been putting off for what seems like my whole adult life because I was so afraid of being seen.

I've had a couple of sessions with Lisa, a few in-person and one via Zoom, and I'd like to say they've all been so amazing. Working with Lisa has been such a fantastic experience. She's kind, a great listener, and genuinely caring throughout the entire process. She created a customized, high-quality recording each time we've met.

Before each session, we check in, and she incorporates any specific work I want to include. She's helped me so much with my work anxiety and confidence. Highly recommend scheduling a session with her!

I had three hypnotherapy sessions with Lisa to help with anxiety and stress. These were done remotely through Zoom, which worked out great! It felt like a real therapy session even though we couldn't meet in person due to Covid. She's a great listener and provided helpful guidance and insights before each session. Before, I wasn't able to sleep, but now I listen to Lisa's tapes each night and I quickly fall asleep, and they are deep sleeps. I wake up feeling calm and refreshed. I highly recommend Mind Matters Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy!

I have a very fast paced and stressful job, which does not help my anxiety. After reading articles and reviews, I decided to give hypnotherapy a try. Working with Lisa was great, I feel like she's helped me find a calm & happy center instead of letting the stress and anxiety get the better of me. I really like that I got a customized recording after each session, and I alternate which ones I listen to at night as I fall asleep, which helps me fall asleep fast & retrain/rewire my subconscious. And for those skeptical of doing it over Zoom - I actually liked doing the hypnotherapy at home so I could just relax instead of getting right into my car.

In January of 2020, I began taking level 1 of Lisa and Dale's Restorative Hypnotherapy training. The 6-week course was held in person in pre-pandemic-times and was a mind-blowing and body-resetting experience that is way beyond what a personal session looks like. Learning the foundations of RH was not only interesting, but it was also transformative for me personally (and trance-formative, for those of us that love puns).Each week, I got to experience the lessons and philosophies behind the methodology of RH.After the pandemic lockdown in March, Lisa announced a Level 2 course, which was, in my mind, essential for advancing my knowledge and application of RH to current issues in the world around us.

I continued onto Level 3 where my learning has not only deepened, but my expertise increased tremendously and my work with clients has become more effective, my hypnotic voice more natural and effective as well. My favorite part of the class is feeling so connected to the group even as we're meeting virtually. Lisa is a phenomenal person, not only a supportive and inspiring teacher who provides valuable insights each class but she also gives individual feedback for those requesting her help or input on clients outside the class. Having experienced sessions from Lisa + Dale and other hypnotherapists, I can say that Restorative Hypnotherapy achieves, by far, a much deeper level of relaxation and healing. That is the reason I have decided upon it as a career and I feel so lucky to be learning it over the course of this year.

I was living in Santa Cruz and struggled with anxiety for 15+ years. While under stay-at-homes orders during COVID, I decided it would be an excellent time to find a new therapist/treatment, because everything was happening online, and that's when I found Lisa Hubler, the miracle worker, and A Mind Matters! Lisa has completely changed my life and just after the first session, my body felt lighter, my muscles relaxed and my mind was finally free!

I was no longer perseverating on a single thought or idea! I can't remember ever sleeping so well! For the first time in my life, I felt "normal." I won't go into all the details of what happened on my second night while listening to the recording, but my body experienced an immense release! Lisa truly is a miracle worker! I LOVE the fact that all of this was accomplished through Zoom!

For one, I probably never would have found Lisa, and two, I could be in my own house, in my own bed and I was completely comfortable with letting my body release all that negative energy! I may not have felt as comfortable allowing my body to take over and release all that negative energy if there had been anyone else in the room, because I probably looked like the girl in the Exorcist. Lisa has a better term to describe what happened.

Either way, the experience was forever life changing! Thank you, Lisa! Two weeks after my first session with Lisa, I had to evacuate because of a fire and have been living in San Diego ever since and teaching virtually. I don't know what I would have done, or how I would have coped without Lisa and her recordings in my life! I'm forever grateful for you, Lisa!

This whole experience is so worth it! I first heard of hypnotherapy from someone who I know that tried it, and always thought it sounded interesting so kept note of it in the back of my mind. As I started to think more and more about it, I decided to finally do some research and see what was available around me. I found this page and read all the amazing reviews.

I decided to reach out to Lisa, as well as a handful of other places. While some others wrote back, Lisa was the only one who took the time to call and hear from me personally what I needed help with. She was so kind, helpful, and really made me feel like she cared. I knew immediately to give this a shot and see how the process goes with her. I recently completed 3 sessions and can proudly say I feel happier for it.

I got a customized recording from each session I did. After putting in the work and listening to these recordings everyday (which I continue to do) I've found myself to be lighter, happier, and genuinely content. While doing these sessions in-person would've been great, I did all 3 sessions via Zoom and feel completely satisfied from my experience. Lisa will walk you through on how to make sure you get the most from the experience while doing this at home.

I met Lisa and Dale years ago in Los Angeles, when I was looking for an anxiety cure for a close family member. I liked them a lot and then took a Restorative Yoga/with hypnosis class with them at my local yoga studio. I fell in love with them then! The benefits of deep rest was deeper than other things I had tried.and my intuition really opened up surprisingly, at that point.

I never forgot about them but some years passed and I saw an email that they were teaching hypnotherapy. I had been interested in learning more about this modality but hadn't figured out how I would fit it in to my schedule. I immediately knew when I found out they were teaching, that I wanted to learn from them and not some other place. It was in person, in Los Angeles and very interesting. Lisa and Dale made me feel very comfortable and at the same time, packed in the training and I learned a lot.

The group were some of the sweetest, smartest people I had met, usually I am best one on one, but in this group I felt like I belonged. After the pandemic occurred, we went online and did a level 2 class.and then a level 3. I really love them all, in the group and it kept me feeling connected during the lonely pandemic. I am seeing clients now part time, and I can always call Lisa when I have questions. I feel confident about what I am doing and the ongoing classes have really built this confidence for me. I started to see Lisa right after my divorce as I was picking up the pieces of my identity as a woman and embarking on a journey of self-love. She has an innate ability to sense what you need to hear subconsciously in her Hypnotherapy sessions. This was my first time doing hypnotherapy and I was a bit skeptical, to be honest, because I think films make you think it's something it's not.

But it errs on the side of a guided meditation that is personalized for you based on what you talk about in your sessions. Lisa records these and provides them for future use which is really helpful. I've continued to use mine a year later for they are relevant for larger windows of your life. Looking back on my sessions with her now, she helped me during a spiritual awakening I was in the midst of without realizing it and her sessions were a catalyst to the healing process that led to my current state of inner peace.

I had a zoom hypnotherapy session about a month ago and I'm still feeling the everlasting effects of the session! I propped myself in zero gravity position, had pillows, a weighted blanket, and an eye pillow to simulate the position she places you in during an in-person meeting (she also guides you on how to prepare beforehand). In doing so, I was still able to fall asleep during our session!

I was a bit skeptical that the zoom meeting wouldn't be as effective- but out of the few times I've seen her this was probably the most effective session I've had yet! If anyone needs a session during these crazy times, I would 100% recommend. Lisa is amazing, SUPER thankful!

I was desperately seeking for help dealing with deaths in my family. I had difficulty sleeping and I just couldn't function at all. I searched on Yelp and found Lisa Hubler of Restorative Hypnotherapy. She was heaven sent. I wasn't sure how it was going to work with the social distancing and all but for all three sessions it was conducted via FaceTime and just over the phone.

I fell asleep all three times while listening to her soothing and calm voice. Lisa is great at what she does and she does have a lot of experience! Thank you Lisa for setting me on the right path to a better life. I am forever grateful.

I went to Lisa for my first hypnotherapy session 5 years ago. I was struggling with major anxiety to the point where it was impacting my job from the panic attacks I was having several times a day. She made me feel so comfortable and at ease during our consult, and I just opened up to her and told her everything that I was going through. The hypnotherapy session was amazing.

I loved the comfy recliner she put me in, and how she makes it even more comfortable with all of the pillows and blankets. I felt like I was floating in that recliner. After the session I felt 1000x better. It was crazy how much impact it had on me. I still think back on it and I can't believe the improvement it made. I used to take anti anxiety medication and a couple months after my session I was off of it completely and only use natural supplements as needed.

Several years later I'm still benefiting from her sessions and my anxiety has only gotten better. Before going to Lisa I had tried regular talk therapy, went to multiple psychiatrists and even did cognitive therapy. Nothing made this huge of a difference for me as my sessions with Lisa. Highly recommend!

I met Lisa to deal with my stress, anxiety and depression. I never had any hypnosis experience before, and frankly, I did not expect to get any positive result, since I suffered with depression for years. I can tell that I lived a sad life for a very long time, and recently it got even worse due to my health issues. After my first session with Lisa I got a little more depressed, but in the end of the third session, I changed.

I noticed being more active. The memories which made me cry, didn't bother more as they did before. Furthermore, I became stronger to fight my disease. I am really surprised that in only three sessions, Lisa helped me to overcome my negative thoughts. I have more hope now to live longer, and hope does miracles. Thank you Lisa :

I passed the California Bar Exam thanks to only 2 sessions from Lisa! It was my second attempt and I really needed help overcoming not only anxiety and self-doubt, but also working on my memory recall and ability to focus intensely and effectively while studying. I was skeptical, but Lisa was 100 percent genuine, compassionate, and extremely skilled.

She carefully tailored my experience to my specific physiological and emotional needs---helping my body and mind handle stress on an unconscious level. During the exam, I encountered a "nightmare" experience with my computer but was able to overcome my panic, bear down, and handwrite passing essays on a difficult exam. Only 30 percent of takers passed. If you study hard and know your material, but still struggle with taking exams--this could be what you need. Worth her weight in gold.

I came to Lisa while I was studying for the California bar exam. I was skeptical because I didn't know what hypnotherapy was, but it was a great experience. Lisa really helped me stay calm and be more confident in myself with her recordings. I did three sessions and they were worth every penny. Listened to them every night leading up to the exam and during the exam nights and, low and behold, I passed! Would definitely recommend. Thank you, Lisa!

My visit to Lisa did the trick for good! I was a smoker for 35 years, from 15 to 50 years old. I always wanted to quit but couldn't. I knew hypnosis was my answer because it's fast and painless. I had been to several different hypnotherapist with varying results over several years. None were long lasting. Lisa is without a doubt the best ever. I haven't desired to smoke in well over 10 years. Honestly it's the best thing I ever did for myself. I say just call now.

I met with Dale and have now been a non-smoker for a month.to the day. His warm, kind and compassionate approach really helped me and made me feel safe and hopeful through the entire process. I don't really have many cravings and I was an everyday smoker for almost 20 years. I highly recommend A Mind Matters and Dale for quitting smoking. It was a pretty painless process thanks to them. I'm updating my previous review, because Lisa helped me pass the Bar Exam! Studying for the Bar is a momentous task even on a good day; I started studying for the Bar while dealing with a family tragedy, and was afraid everything would bubble up and make getting through the actual exam impossible. Obviously, there is no replacement for studying and knowing the material.

But Lisa's session helped me feel grounded, calm, and confident when I entered the test. For the first time, I started really feeling what it would be like if I passed - not just worrying about what would happen if I didn't. I highly recommend anyone taking a difficult professional exam consider a session a few days before the exam. Lisa, thank you again.

I've had a total of 6 sessions with Lisa, all of them have been deeply transformative and restoring. During my first visit I was feeling depressed and anxious, I had a lack of confidence in my own skills and a general feeling of hopelessness. Today, I've had a complete transformation, and despite increasingly challenging life circumstances, I'm able to have a restful sleep, I'm no longer depressed, I'm more assertive and I feel confident that I can handle whatever life throws at me. Lisa truly cares about people, she has a deep empathy and will make you feel completely safe and taken care of, which is a basic step in anyone's recovery.

I will continue to visit her periodically to restore and soothe my mind, as I now consider these sessions a basic part of self care. A session with Lisa is totally worth the price and will transform your life.

I came to Lisa for relief from post traumatic stress disorder and the many ways that it manifests in my life. Her voice, her energy, her spirit, her being, all combine to make her a true healing angel, and my experience working with her has been profoundly nurturing, resourcing, relaxing, and healing. I feel my body and my psyche truly beginning to unfreeze and feel safe for the first time in my life.

I flew to LA for my first session, but did my second and third sessions over the phone. Though I missed "the chair"(!), these phone sessions were every bit as powerful as the in person session. I listen to my recordings daily and feel my life changing in ways I had given up believing were possible. I really enjoyed my time with Lisa. I've listened to my tape every night and it helps me to sleep. I usually fall asleep 10 min. Into my 1 hour tape. Haha! I think it's worth the money and time, and I would recommend to a friend for sure. I went in because I was struggling with anxiety and nerves under pressure. (Work). So far, I feel better, I feel lighter, and I feel like my mind is clearer.if that makes any sense. Lisa also called me a couple days after the session to check in on me. Wear comfy clothes, leave extra time for parking and traffic so you're not stressed getting there, and come with an open mind. It's like taking the ultimate nap.

I found out about Mind Matters here on Yelp. I contacted them several weeks ago to make an appointment to have hypnotherapy for smoking cessation. Dale and I met for a few hours, including an hour long deep hypnosis in a zero gravity position. Its been nearly a week, and it seems to be working! No cigarettes so far! I'd recommend Mind Matters to anyone who is serious about overcoming addiction, or simply changing limiting beliefs/habits.

So incredible. I started going for insomnia, which I couldn't seem to alleviate through medication, exercise, or meditation. After just one appointment with Lisa, I finally started to find some relief. Lisa is a miracle worker - I would recommend her to anyone that's having this issue.

This company is a paying business member of Yelp so they asked Yelp to remove my review, which Yelp accommodates when a business is a paying member. You will notice they on;y have 5 star reviews on Yelp which is GROSSLY INACCURATE. So here it is: I've been having incredible stress at work and I thought I could use some mental R&R and see if I could get help with managing the stress.

I turned to my trusty Yelp cohorts and found Mind Matters. So I called and asked what their rates were. They only offer 2 hour sessions. I told this Lisa person that 2 hrs sounded a little intense for me as I have never been to anything like this outside of getting a massage. I asked if they were able to help me "break into" it and if I could start with a 1 hr. session.

She literally laughed me off the phone, and said "there is no breaking in, we evaluate you on the phone and if it fits then you do it" Well geez!, excuse me! I wasn't exactly expecting some chanting yoga lady to laugh at me because I tell her I am nervous about it being my first time. Totally unprofessional. So I called my mom (who is a physician) and she laughed at me too LOL.

She told me to Google "certified hypnotherapist" and yeah I saw why my mom was amused. I can get a certification for $250 tomorrow. Basically they are people who try to mimic what psychologists and psychiatrists do. They have NO formal med school & really aren't qualified in anything legitimate. They may give "good advice" to some people who walk with the impression that they've been "healed" - its kind of like those psychic mediums who read body language and pick up on cues in the conversation.

Look at their reviews, most of the people have very little activity and less than 15 reviews on here (which I overlooked before calling) - that's always the first sign of what I call Yelp fraud lol. That's why I pay huge insurance premiums so I can get access to real physicians, and that's exactly what I'm going to do. Ridiculous.
