Always active in sports growing up, Dr. Kara became an avid runner, and eventually had college scouts interested in her as a cross-country athlete. But at age 15, Kara knew something wasn't right in her body. She started having hip pain that sidelined her from the sport. After visiting many different top medical professionals, and having thousands of dollars in imaging done, she was still left without an answer. In fact, one MD even suggested there wasn't anything wrong with her-she was simply 'depressed' and needed medication.
Dr. Melissa began her career years ago in nursing, working as an assistant. Always knowing she wanted to help others, it became clear to her that a nursing career was missing something-a natural approach to wellness. After connecting with a family friend who was a chiropractor, Dr. Melissa attended prospective new student weekend at Life University-she loved it so much that after, she decided to attend the doctorate program-and the rest is history!Dr. Melissa recently went through some of her own health challenges that required her to take a step back from chiropractic for nearly two years.

Doctors and staff were all very kind and caring. They even helped me to my car and put my seatbelt on for me! Dr. Wilcox treated me my 1st visit, but Dr. Zajac happened to walk in as I was leaving and spent her time off conversing with me. They both gave me lots of information and things to try to alleviate my pain. I really feel like they care and want to help me. Katherine R

Caring, personable staff. I like their walk-in policy, the wait is minimal.

Dr. K. Zajack is my most favorite chiropractor in the state of Georgia, if not ALL of the USA east of the Mississippi, hands down, no kidding. I can only say positive things about Kara. She will even rescue you from Dawson Forest if you need her to. Seriously. She is the best of the best, she goes above and beyond, and best of all, she is very nice.

Dr. Zajac does a great job. She examines you and asks questions about your health and adjusts your body so you, along with her care, can get back to good health. I love her new office. Bright, beautiful and positive place for her new office. I've also had Dr. Melissa adjust me while there and she was able to tweak (medical term) my body in a different way than Dr. Zajac but with equally positive results.

I have gone to Nature's Way a couple of times over the last 3 years. Each time I was relievedof my bac pain in just one visit. This week I developed a severe case sciatica. Dr Kara and Dr Michele are FANTASTIC. I saw both of them this week and once again my pain is so much less. I will forever go to this practice.

Love this place! Was a lot skeptical at first, but Dr. Kara, Julia, and Lily the cat won me over. I mean, therapy with a cat? Meowtastic! And it's right behind a tasty BBQ restaurant and close to great shopping at the North Georgia Outlets. Come get adjusted here soon!

Dr. Kara is incredible. She is the first and only chiropractor I will ever see. I walked in with no appointment, not knowing what was truly wrong with me and she worked with it and gave me a treatment plan that has improved my quality of life immensely. If you are hesitant about chiropractors or doctors in general and you have joint or muscle pain, I highly recommend stopping by and seeing if she can help. It could change your life.

Dr. Kara was the very first chiropractor I have ever gone to and I couldn’t be happier with my treatment! I have suffered with headaches, sinus issues, including numerous infections, and severe back pain most of my adult life and now my life is forever changed! No more headaches, zero sinus infections and tons more mobility! Dr. Kara truly rocks! I trust her completely! You cannot go wrong.

Being an RN myself, I tend towards the MD for any issue I may have and I have been blessed to have very few issues. However, I have had a persistent flareup of something like sciatica for the past almost 10 years and I have not wanted to see an MD for that one. I imagine the MD would need to do surgery actually, if anything at all. Finally I went to Dr. Kara and have been able to recover from these flare-ups within 2 days after an adjustment (with more of her suggested stretching and warm baths afterwards). Prior to seeing her it would take weeks of ibuprofen and stretching on my own.

2015 I was repeatedly suffering from neck stress, sciatica for months dragging my left leg around to get my work done and other back pain from heavy lifting. I had a chiroprator in Cumming whose techniques did nothing. The day I walked onto Dr. Karas office really changed my life. Dr. Kara did the hands-on healing techniques I needed to live my life in better health.

She encouraged me and I felt I could trust her opinions. The receptionist Julia is comforting and wonderful. I am fortunate with no allergies to love animals, the therapy-kitty is a loving addition to this office. It is an open floor-plan area, but other offices were open concept I have visited. If you come at busy times you will wait. I've waited up to 15-20 min. It was worth it. This was normal to me. My insurance does not cover these visits. I come when I am able. I look forward to Better Health! THANK-YOU DR.KARA!

I've been coming to this place for years. Dr. Kara loves her patients and bends over backwards for them. She cares about your health. That other review is off the chain crazy. Yes, the tables are hidden by a half wall. I've been going to chiropractors for 18 years. All but one had half walls. Yes, she has a rescue cat. That just goes to show what a big heart she has!

The best chiropractor around (and I have been to many!). Dr. Kara is personable, knowledgeable, and sensitive to your needs as a patient. She listens and makes you feel at home in the office while offering many different ways of adjusting the spine. I would highly recommend her to anyone. Thanks, Dr. K, you fixed me right up and I will be back again!

I scheduled a new patient appointment at this facility this week. My insurance doesn't cover chiropractic care, so I was told that it would be $95.00 for the initial consult, exam and adjustment and $45 dollars every subsequent visit. When I arrived, there were several other patients waiting so I sat down and filled out the paperwork and returned it to the reception.

When it came my turn, two other patients were taken before me (that arrived after me). I heard the receptionist tell the doctor that I was a new patient and I would take a longer, which I guess was the reasoning in skipping over my appt. time which was at 5:00 and it was then 5:20ish. Either way, being in the healthcare industry for 15 years, I understand this happens frequently to clear the patient load quicker.

When I was called back for my "exam", I was taken to a small area where the adjustment tables were located that is not separate from the waiting area. It is only divided by an L-shaped, waist-high wall. Nonetheless, there is no privacy. In previous adjustments, I have also been adjusted in a private patient room. Not only do you feel more at-will to discuss personal health information with the provider but overall it just seems more professional. Anyway, the doctor must have not looked at any of the paperwork I filled out detailing the nature of my visit because the first thing she asked me was, "What's bothering you today?" I told her that I had been having persistent neck pain for 2-weeks and it wasn't subsiding.

She asked me nothing further, except some small chat about how I sleep at night. She palpated my neck area briefly and then began the adjustment. She told me that I had a Left Atlas Subluxation, told me to drink plenty of water and apply heat and that she wanted to see me back in 2-days. Needless to say, I don't think I will be going back. I didn't get a warm, welcoming feeling from the office atmosphere or the doctor.

This is just my personal opinion. People were coming through the door left-and-right so she must be highly regarded to many of her patients. I just didn't feel like the 5-minutes I spent there for this supposed "consult, exam and adjustment" was worth the $95 dollars I had to pay AT ALL. Lastly, I understand that chiropractic philosophy is about healing your body naturally and that sometimes it takes repeat and consistent treatments to see notable difference but when you go to a doctor (any doctor be it a DC, DO or MD) you expect a certain level of care for the fee being charged, especially when it is costing you nearly a hundred-buckaroonies.

I don't feel like I got 1/2 of my monies worth and that just plain sucks. =( Oh, and one more thing-- while I am an animal lover myself, be advised if you have any allergens to cats or pet dander. They do have a very friendly cat that roams the office freely. She even jumped up and laid on my legs while I was getting adjusted. It didn't bother me, but it might some people who have allergies and don't know until they get to the office that there is a "healing cat" wandering around.

I am 70 and had never been to a chiropractor. I have always been very skeptical of chiropractic care. I have read and heard so much of the profession that it seemed almost like snake medicine. I also have friends and former co workers that that swear by their chiropractor. A little over a year ago I developed a pain below my left hip. It hurt when I sat at my desk for too long and when I was driving.

My primary care physician ordered a MRI for me and then sent me to see a neurosurgeon. My diagnosis was sciatica. The neurosurgeon set up 5 weeks of physical therapy for me. The physical therapy helped a lot but did not eliminate the pain completely and it started coming back even though I was doing the daily exercises that the physical therapist recommended.

The neurosurgeon explained that my back bone was compressed and my sciatic nerve was being pinched. The fix was to have surgery. I am the primary caretaker for my wife who has dementia and I just cannot have surgery at this time. So I thought as a last resort that I would give chiropractic care a try. Lo and behold I was lucky to find Dr Kara. She set up a treatment for me that while it has not eliminated the pain 100%, it has gotten so much better.

I just feel a little twinge every now and then which goes away when I stretch (the way Dr Kara taught me). I can now set at my desk for long periods of time and go for long drives without pain.
Dr Kara is a very caring professional that I would highly recommend to anyone. I feel very lucky that I have found her. Does chiropractic care work? For me YES!
