The popularity of nutritional and botanical supplementation has increased dramatically as people are seeking natural ways to alleviate their ailments. Nutritional and botanical supplements can be safe and effective when properly dosed but supplement quality can vary greatly. Many supplements contain fillers, solvents, artificial preservatives, and colorings.
At your first visit, Dr. Bonnie will do a thorough intake, listening and learning about your individual health concerns and identifying your specific needs. The first two visits are best scheduled within a week of each other so that Dr. Bonnie has time to review your case, research drug-nutrient-herb interactions and gather more information before coming up with a plan.

I have been going for over 10 years and recently have missed a bunch of visits. Unfortunately, I feel the pain again. Going once a month keeps me pain free and relaxed. Highly recommend Dr. Bonnie and her experience with acupuncture and naturopathy. Regretting missing my appointments!

Dr Bonnie takes sincere care of her clients. I first saw her a few years ago when a good friend referred her to me. I saw her for a knee and leg issue while training for my first marathon. I did a few Accupunture sessions and was back on the road to recovery. Her Canandaigua location (the only one I've gone to) is very calming, clean and the sheets must be Egyptian cotton because they are so soft!

She also has warmers to make sure if your legs are outside of the sheet they can be warm and comfortable. Recently I started seeing her again due to a new diagnosis which has caused anxiety along with other symptoms. After only three Accupunture sessions I can tell my anxiety is much, much lower. She is a warm, competent and caring doctor willing to go the extra mile to make sure her clients feel safe, comfortable and cared for. I can't speak highly enough of her caring and compassion during this very trying time. I look forward to each session with her.

I've been a patient of Dr. Bonnie and North Shore for about 10 years now, and for the last 5 years have been going here once a month as part of my preventative health care/self care routine. Dr. Bonnie starts every session with a brief consultation where she asks how I've been feeling, if I have any concerns or particular issues to address, and during it all she takes notes.

She then creates a customized acupuncture plan to address my needs. The session lasts just over an hour. Dr. Bonnie also offers other services - I think she has a massage therapist who works with her, and they also do cupping - but I have only worked with her for medical consultations (to review bloodwork results and talk about vitamins and supplements) and acupuncture.

In terms of the office, it is easy to find, right on Rt. 332 just outside the north end of the village of Canandaigua. The office is in an old brick building that used to be a trolley terminal. There is street parking in front of the office and also parking in the back. Inside the office there is a small cozy waiting room and there are at least 4, maybe 6, rooms outfitted with massage-table-type cots and side tables and chairs.

Usually you meet with Dr. Bonnie in this room then get on the table for your treatment. I definitely recommend Dr. Bonnie for acupuncture, and also feel she is a great naturopathic resource if you are also looking for someone to consult with in addition to a western-style primary care physician. She is knowledge, kind and curious, and is very focused on individual wellness.

As decent as the visit was, I'm afraid the follow up (or lack thereof rather) leaves much to be desired. I don't want to be harsh in my review, it's just difficult thinking levelly after saving for a year to visit this place, finally getting to go, thinking they'll be some additional help e-mailed.but nothing, and currently I'm just in a lot of pain and feeling more hopeless after going than I did before.

I'm not satisfied with my visit at all, and this has really soured my overall outlook on naturopathy in general. I still have no life due to my issues, and was waiting to hear back an through e-mail at least after doing pages upon pages of paperwork of further instructions that might assist me.nothing. Please save your money, I really wish I had.
