Tarot in Motion is a system developed by Miriam Jacobs to create expressive dances that have both individual and universal meanings based on pulled Tarot cards. Related symbols on the cards serve as a structure for movement pieces that encourage you to come into your body, change patterns, and deepen realizations while having fun.
Whether you danced your whole life or just like to move Tarot in Motion gives you the experience to utilize intentional, creative movement for deep realization and a new way to embody the lessons of the Tarot. Live Tarot in Motion classes bring the power of being witnessed at the moment you are expressing and realizing in a safe community.
I may join you in dancing mirroring your moves, converse as you are moving and other times I may just witness. Your session may include some hands-on or virtual bodywork. I had just done a One on One session. The influence of using that grounded, firm, calm stance dramatically changed how I interacted with my daughter during a practice-driving lesson right after the session.
If you are a somatic dancer or choreographer, Miriam can collaborate with you, live or virtually. Most of us may have never had an opportunity of creating, their own dance or a short theatrical piece to be performed, let alone from a Tarot card. Individuals will use pulled Tarot cards as a basis to create new material.

If there is such a thing as a healing touch, Miriam has definitely got it. I've seen a large number of different body workers over the years, but none as gentle, sensitive, and intuitive as Miriam. She can sense exactly where the knots and tensions are, and knows how to get them to relax. Not only do her sessions feel marvelous, but I always function more effectively afterwards and get a lot more work done. Highly recommended!

Miriam is a true healer. Her body work has helped me physically and mentally. I recommend her to anyone needing body work she is warm, caring, compassionate and kind. I have also had her to my house for a tarot reading with 6 of my good friends. It was very interesting and we learned so much about ourselves and each other. Looking for something different to do with your friends over the holidays I recommend a tarot party with Miriam.

Miriam does body work with energy work at the same time. She's able to intuit what type of energy is affecting your physical body. For example, she might say something like ".there is fear and anxiety that's causing your psoas muscle to be tight. Let's try to release that fear energy." Her sessions have always done amazing improvement for me.
In addition to all of that expertise, Miriam has also created an entire new modality that joins Tarot, Astrology, Numerology, Yoga, and Polarity. It's stunning how she has discovered the way all of these ancient and modern perspectives of the world connect and help each other. And help us. So if you need bodywork, or info as to where your life is right now, or advice on how to work with your physical and energetic body, Miriam is one of the best people to work with.

I've worked with Miriam for several years, and then moved away and forgot about how good she is until last week. I've had lifelong, recurring issues regarding pain in my GI tract, which medical testing has not being able to provide any answers for. Yet when I'd present myself at the emergency room I'd be diaphoretic (sweating), in pain, and running a temperature from the pain.the whole deal.
After her book launch I decided to return to see her for bodywork. Miriam took her time, combined a tarot reading into her body work on me, and I think we are making progress. Been dreaming up a storm, feeling some interesting movement in my abdomen, and generally feeling stronger and more clear. I'll see her again next week as part of our ongoing series and I couldn't be happier.

Miriam Jacobs is an exceptional body worker. Utilizing polarity therapy, she has a gentle, focused and intuitive way of discovering and healing what ails me. She is one of the few people I will trust to work on any part of my body - including my neck. I do not understand how Miriam does what she does, but at the end of a session I am often pain-free and both relaxed and invigorated. Quite a feat! I have been going to Miriam for many years and recommend her very highly.
