Back Pain

It is estimated that 80% of the people will suffer from some form of back pain in their lifetime. The root cause of each back case can vary so widely that it can become extremely difficult to navigate through the endless amount of information and find the perfect remedy (if you are lucky enough to find one at all.)

At our Seattle chiropractic office, we see a wide variety of people seeking our care for low back pain. We have helped care for professional athletes who are attempting to avoid retirement due to back pain. We have seen mother’s who are struggling with upper back pain and can no longer pick up their small children. We even see back pain patients who are pre and post operations who are attempting to avoid surgery, or trying to find relief after a failed surgery.

The people who seek care at our office have an extremely high rate of success for the wide variety of back pain that can bring you into our office.

Please call us if you think we can be of help with your back pain or health problem, or you would like a free consultation about chiropractic at Queen Anne Chiropractic Center.

Next, I would like to address some of the important issues to consider when seeking back pain relief.

Neck Pain

A Doctor of Chiropractic is trained to help diagnose and care for acute and chronic neck pain conditions. A Chiropractor can also determine whether the proper treatment for your neck pain might be in another category of care, but if you are seeking a safe and conservative approach, a Chiropractor is a perfect fit. When I mention a “conservative” approach, it is to distinguish between the more radical and extreme opinions you might receive that include surgery and drugs. The risk factors for many surgeries involving neck pain are extreme, and often do not show the results that the patient was expecting upon the first consultation. The medications that a person receives are not only potentially addictive, but can cause long term consequences on the filters of your body.

Headaches have become so commonplace in society today that many believe having a headache everyday is a normal way of life. Others deal with frequent and occasional headaches that range from a dull ache to life-altering, debilitating pain.

This commonality is only confused at the varying responses people take to control or stop a pounding headache.

Many just take a grin and bear it approach, which others become dependent on a pill popping regiment that ultimately never solves the problem.

This is what makes chiropractic so special. A chiropractic evaluation can assess what is the best approach to help your body function at a level where most types of headaches are no longer an issue. This “alternative” approach to headache treatment is exactly why a chiropractor should be seen as soon as possible at the first sign of a headache.

Research continues to show that chiropractic adjustments, the main form of aligning the spinal column performed by chiropractors, are effective in solving headaches that are linked to neck pain and tension. According to a paper from 2001, spinal adjustments caused nearly immediate improvement for headaches related to the neck and had significantly less side effect and results that lasted much longer than medications that are commonly prescribed.

Customer Testimonials

Every chiropractor here is excellent, and I have known the family for years. Dr. Gibson takes great care of me and is always there to listen to any new complaints or problems. I feel like I am in great hands there.

I've been a patient with the Queen Anne Chiropractic Center for 7 years and Dr. Gibson and his staff have just been terrific. I know that whenever I'm injured playing sports or just need to get my body back in order, I can count on the center to take good care of me! A truly great chiropractor, staff, and massage therapy.

I love this chiropractors office. I usually see Sarah, but her father and brother also quite good. The office is open to drop ins as well as appointments, and I usually do a flat annual plan. I'm very pleased with the environment and the people, and the price isn't bad for the annual family plan if you go regularly.

Top notch chiropractic care. Sensible, friendly, family oriented practice that is focused on your well being. My family loves all 3 doctors and has been going there for almost 10 years. They help keep us healthy! I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a chiropractor

Professional care. Friendly staff. Great place for chiropractics and massage. They played a pivotal role in helping me recover from shoulder surgery and general maintenance to keep me at work and competing in athletics.

A family owned and operated business with heart! I trust the doctors at Queen Anne Chiropractic to make informed decisions for my health and spinal alignment. Dr. Darrel, Dr. Graeme and Dr. Sarah have seen me through car accidents, addressed and resolved causes of headaches and even corrected issues from the occasional slip, trip or fall. It is amazing how some seemingly small event can affect the spine. I am happy to support a local business I believe in and where I feel valued as a patient.

Saw Graeme Gibson on a Saturday for some back pain and got fairly immediate relief after treatment, enough so that I am a believer. Saturday appointments are super convenient and the place was clean and professional. If you got back issues or sport injuries or both, I recommend Graeme. I have lots of residual issues from rugby and jujitsu and his service has made my life better.

I have been so satisfied with this lovely family of chiropractors and their staff. Each doctor has his or her own style. All are excellent at what they do. I feel fantastic!
