The teachers at St. Paul Yoga Center are friendly, warm, and have a high degree of expertise. The classes that I have attended have pushed me just the right amount and the teachers have made the classes fun. It's a well run studio, very clean and it's easy to find on the corner of Selby and Dunlap in St. Paul.

It's amazing how the St. Paul Yoga Center was able to pivot in March and offer quality online yoga classes that make me come back again and again. These are so much better than a random video from YouTube, because the instructor creates a community of practitioners and offers one-on-one advice. I love these classes!

Iyengar yoga (and the stellar Iyengar yoga instructors!) at the St Paul Yoga Center is a top reason for me to feel grounded, peaceful and healthy on a day to day basis. The instructors are consistently fantastic at what they do. I constantly think to myself after their 90 minute classes that health insurance should absolutely be covering this. For me personally, it is a method of healing (and maintenance of health) which uses both movement and absence of movement (stillness), strength, and balance to impart wellness into my life at an exponential level. I can't speak highly enough about the St Paul Yoga Center!

I love the classes and instructors here. I was brand new to yoga and did the intro workshop and beginners class. They also do several advanced forms of yoga. The instructors walk around the room and make sure people are in the right positions, very attentive. Class payments are very flexible with options for convenient online payment and registration. I highly recommend this place.

I've attended 2 classes with Paul, and found them both to be an extremely personalized experience. Paul is very knowledgeable about poses, yoga, and the body. My class was completely different from past experiences at corporate yoga studios and I'd urge anyone interested to attend a drop in class. Things that were new to me: much more use of props, which helped me get more into poses; no mirrors on the walls, so it felt much lower pressure to look or perform a certain way; more individualized attention; no music (unless you count Paul's chanting). Also, I brought my boyfriend who had never done yoga, and he found it very accessible and plans to keep going!

Excellent services from Danielle at this location. The open minded no judgement approach, " if your body feels good in this position, feel free to stay there and ignore my directions for others" "if the class is doing something that does not work for your body, then do what your body needs" is not only wise and a sign of true yoga but customer service at its best. Come here NOT for the cute outfits or the trendy new method but for the actual calming, and healing of your mind and body.

This is, hands down, one of my favorite yoga experiences. I am a yoga person who got into it for the stretching and to compliment my other athletic sports/workouts. Lots of Iyengar yoga in my life. : I've gone to various instructors, gym yoga classes, yoga focused studios, etc, but this is my absolute favorite. It's not the cheapest yoga experience in the Cities, but I always feel like it's worth every cent.

First off, the space. There are two studios, and both are lovely. Well-equipped, quiet, and clean. I feel calmer and more centered just coming into this space. Even in the winter, when everyone has to squeeze in and take off all your layers in the coat room entry! Second, the TEACHERS. I've only had good experiences with the various teachers I've had. There's definitely a range-- some teachers appeal more to me than others.

But I can always see how the teachers I don't prefer would appeal to someone different than me. The teachers are always very, very good. They are clearly very engaged and working to improve their own teaching methods and styles, and this is one of the places where I feel like the money I spend really pays off. I always felt very listened to, and like the teachers wanted to support ME in my practice.

As a fat athletic woman, that's sometimes not always the vibe I get, yk? Finally, the classes! I love that this place distinguishes what kinds of styles and focuses the classes have, and even when I go to the same class week after week, it's always a little different. I feel like there's a wider variety of styles and focuses here than I typically find. It's really helped me put my finger on and articulate what I do and don't want at different times.

I would say it's more yoga focused than fitness yoga focused, generally. If you're looking for fitness yoga you might be disappointed. Other notes: Parking is limited, but the studio is directly on the 21 bus route and has places to lock up a bike.

I have had such a different and unique experience in my first week at St. Paul Yoga Center than at the many other studios I have gone to. I am finding more frequent assistance and help from the instructors, more focus on areas I now feel I was lacking in such as alignment and technique, and just more challenging posture options and variety in general.

I feel like I have learned more at this studio in one week than I would have in many months at other studios I have frequented in the past. All the instructors have been so friendly and helpful as well as being very knowledgeable and passionate about the yoga they teach.

Brand new to yoga? Practiced for decades? Saint Paul Yoga Center is perfect for you. Seriously. I've taken classes from 5 different instructors here, and every single one is able to work with every level of student. Plus, every person in class exudes the inner peace and calm vibe this place embodies. Check out the schedule to make sure you're in the right class; the Iyengar classes do require some prior experience. Bonus: Pizza Luce across the street

St. Paul Yoga Center is always clean, bright, and classes begin and end on time. The class I attend is with Julie. She is very seasoned, always watches for possibly of injury with her class, and has much energy. Her classes are always varied and she makes new to her class folks feel welcome. However, her Sunday morning class is pretty sweat-inducing so you may want to choose a class specifically for beginners so you can really learn and practice the poses.

I'm very clumsy and stiff yet I still find yoga at St. Paul yoga a great way to use my muscles in a less stressful way. (I'm a runner and it has helped my running very much.) I've been going regularly for almost two years and I learn something new in every class. I would highly recommend St. Paul Yoga for those folks who feel self-conscious in studios with the perfect bodies and the advanced poses. St. Paul Yoga welcomes anybody who wants to develop a good practice and they make you feel good about your yoga accomplishments.

Great classes at different levels. Have taken classes with several of their instructors and have been favorably impressed.

Supportive atmosphere; experienced, compassionate, and dedicated teachers; and beautiful open spaces! Also, each class gracefully accommodates multiple levels of experience and flexibility. One of the first yoga studios to open in St. Paul and still a gem.

A great St. Paul resource. I take a prenatal class here with an amazing instructor (Clare) who is also a midwife so she really understands women's bodies, the changes they are going through, and the impact to the baby. The class is pay what you can and so unlike many of the more expensive options out there, this one is accessible for any prospective mama.

The class is a supportive and nurturing environment and the instructor really makes sure students feel they can adjust the poses as needed for what they need that day. Best decision I've made during my pregnancy is to take this class.

I dropped in on a donation class that Clare was conducting on a Sunday afternoon. My yoga practice has been neglected for quite awhile, but Clare made me feel safe, comfortable, and confident! She is a warm and caring instructor. I will highly recommend The Saint Paul Yoga Center to my friends and coworkers. The facilities are great and provide all the props and supports I needed to fully engage with my practice. Thank you for offering drop-in and donation classes.

My wife and I have been coming to the studio for over 10 years. On the day of our wedding, we came to a morning class. Paul did an entire class of "partner yoga" in our honor. It was great. We have always found Paul and the other teachers to be warm, knowledgeable and personable. More recently I really like the work Paul has done to spruce up the studios! The new floor and paint job create an elegant and serene place to practice this ancient art.

I participated in a free class here with a girlfriend who had just gotten engaged and wanted to start working out more before the big day. While I was not new to yoga, I *was* new to the studio and like many studios, St. Paul Yoga Center offers a free class for newbies to get a taste. We signed up for a very basic/beginners level class since my friend had not been to yoga in years and the personal attention we received was great.

Especially for my friend who has had many (MANY) knee surgeries, the instructor was great at offering modifications and getting hands-on for adjustments. One thing to note: there are two studios at this center with two separate entrances so be sure to check which studio your class is being held in. You can reserve your space online and it will tell you.

It seems as though the one they place the free/donation-based classes in tends to have the most accidental walk-ins from the street - which is bad enough if you're trying to relax, but even worse if it's ten below zero degrees outside and a fresh gust of cold air comes rushing in every time someone opens the door! That being said, this died down quite a bit once the class officially began (we started late to wait for others who had reserved spaces but were running behind).I think a handful of the folks who walked in were actually trying to go to the other studio. ll-in-all, it was a nice, casual-seeming space where we were able to get a good, restorative stretch in early on a Saturday. Following that up with some brunch and celebratory mimosas across the street (Pizza Luce) was a perfect way to have some bonding/girl time.

I heard about St. Paul Yoga Center's "donation" class (pay what you can, all levels welcome) quite a while ago but never checked it out until today. I'm so glad I finally did! I was worried that I was a bit "advanced" in my yoga practice for this class (even though it said all levels were welcome) due to the large quantity of props we all had to pull out of the closet. But it was fun to learn new things. By the end of class, I got a nice workout, relaxed, and felt thoroughly stretched out. I'll be back!
