Private lessons are customized to fit the individual student's goals. Many beginners who feel self-conscious in a group class environment prefer practicing in a one-on-one situation with an instructor. Students can ask questions and explore the dynamics of certain postures they find challenging, something that is usually not possible in group classes.
In a private lesson, students may attempt more advanced postures which, with the assistance of your private instructor, may be less intimidating and ultimately more accessible. Students develop a personal yoga practice. Experienced students enjoy the opportunity to take their practice to a deeper level with private instruction. Attention is placed on breath, focus, bandhas, and postures to build strength and flexibility. Lessons can be held in the privacy of your home or at Yvonne's studio in Northport.
