The "doctor" didn't explain anything he did. Would come in and out of the room very abruptly during sessions; quickly open the door and flick on the lights, remove the needles like he was in a rush. Was not relaxing nor beneficial. Would not come back and definitely would not recommend. He also has a couple of other locations so you might want to check before making an appointment elsewhere.

Dr. Xia is AMAZING! 10/10 stars. I had surgery on my hip and my hand and was not healing well. I had lots of inflammation and was on NSAIDS for years. I was referred to Dr. Xia and it was the best thing that happened to me. I have been able to get off medication and live my days pain free. I did have to go multiple times as I've had years of trauma that we have been working through. Dr. Xia is very personable and knows what he is doing and tells you like it is, which I like and appreciate. I, unfortunately, moved out of state, but whenever I visit Houston you can bet that I will stop by for a visit.

Went to Dr Chen Xia for acupuncture. This was my first time trying this therapy and I can not say enough good things about my experience with Dr Chen Xia. He spent time explaining the practice of acupuncture and how it affects the body and mind. He ensured he fully understood what I wanted to get out of the therapy before we got started. At no time did I feel rushed or confused about what the treatment involved. Dr Xia truly went above and beyond!
The visit was worth the price just for the opportunity to sit with Dr Xia and better understand acupuncture and health in general. Already have my next appointment booked and so does my friend! Highly recommend this practice!

We went to another clinic "Acupuncture Houston Ph. D (3033 Chimney Rock, #518)" and had a very unpleasant experience. This doctor is professional. He is like a God to say anything he wants without any respect. We paid him, but he insulted my wife so deeply. He said my back pain was because my wife "Did me" so much, also blamed her hometown and mine so much, and so on! My wife was a lawyer and a trader when she was in her hometowns.
She said we could sue him coz she had recorded all his "Speeches", but we decided to give a review now. He is a doctor, didn't he know that mood effects health so much? Without a good mood, the cells in body couldn't work happily, they could change to even cancer. As a doctor, he knows this exactly! So I'm not saying others, only as a doctor, he is NOT professional! He doesn't deserve being a doctor. My wife is my love. His "Jokes" were so low. We don't need any "Explanation" or "Apology", as an adult, he must understand what he should and shouldn't do. We are changing doctor.
