Hand-N-Hand Therapy was founded in 1990 by Dr. Diane T. Stroud PT, DPT, Advanced Certified Rolfer and Dr. Pamela A. Wood PT, DPT during an evening chat at Bob & Edith's diner in Arlington Virginia. Having met through their home health experience with the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA), both brought unique skills to the field.

Diane having a strong passion for the mind/body connection and Pam with her mechanical savviness truly embraced the art of physical therapy. Together these sage practitioners joined forces to create one of the longest standing woman owned physical therapy clinics in Virginia.

Pam is a '79 graduate of State University of New York at Buffalo and received her clinical doctorate from Utica College in 2015. Her greatest expertise is in the evaluation and treatment of lipedema, lymphedema and other complex medical clients. Pam enjoys the challenge of applying a creative approach with sound scientific principles to the art of physical therapy.

In line with the recent No Surprises Act, we are required to provide our fees and a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) for your care if you are NOT currently covered by Medicare or Tricare beginning in 2022. A GFE form can be sent to you through our HiPAA compliant email. This No Surprises Act is to eliminate any surprise billing that has been seen to occur in some hospitals and larger clinics whereupon a NON-participating provider may jump in on a case that is being handled within a participating team of providers, resulting in an unexpected increase in the out-of-pocket expense.
