I am so glad I found Laura Christensen and Acupuncture of Iowa. She really takes the time to understand my concerns and help me resolve them. With a very complicated problem, she is persistent and willing to try new approaches to help me get the care I need. I love that the dogs are there to greet me and get a little attention.

I have seen Laura for different issues in the past which she has resolved. Laura is very personable but right to the point when it comes to finding the cause of one's health issues. Laura explains everything. If you can't understand something, she will explain it so you do. She is very knowledgeable in her field and I trust her completely.

When I was first sent to Laura I had been in debilitating pain for 2 years. I had tried many treatment modalities without success. I was leery to pursue acupuncture but I had nothing to lose. Laura was honest and upfront when discussing my prospects for success with acupuncture. I was so appreciative of her honesty. Today, after weekly treatments, I have manageable pain that has allowed me to begin to spend time with family and friends. This was my first time seeing an acupuncturist. I found Dr. Christensen to be warm, kind, and caring. She explained things very well. She also, listened to what I was saying. I could tell she had read all of the pre-appointment information I had provided. She is very calm and soothing when she talks with me.

I have been accessing acupuncture and herbal treatments for close to 20 years. The most meaningful experience is to be treated by Laura who knows my bodies' history well. She was a significant help in recovery from a brain injury after I was hit by a truck while riding my bike. It is a real advantage to seek treatment for temporary or new health issues as well as my monthly "tune up" for well being. Laura continues her training every year making me feel that her treatment is current and effective. I recommend her to people who speak of chronic pain, slow recovery from the flu, post-surgery w general anesthesia, and digestive difficulties.
