In 1990 a guiding light led our Herbalist, Rose Kalajian, to Sage Mountain Herbal Center where her professional Herbal Studies studies began. It was there at SMHC that Rose began to study alongside her life-long friend and mentor, Rosemary Gladstar. After 7 years of hard work, Rose graduated from Sage Mountain's Science and Art of Herbalism program with her diploma which still hangs on the wall of The Natural Health Hut.
At just 13 years old, Rose discovered a book that would change her life. Published in 1939 by Jethro Kloss, "Back To Eden" is known to many as the herbalists bible; it set the stage for many who practice holistic health.

The plants are considered to be our primary teachers and we, the students, must learn to come to them with open hearts. Our journey is to awaken the ancient wisdom implanted in each of our hearts, the genetic encoding of thousands of years of herb usage instilled in our memory banks. The learning of this plant wisdom is joyful and fun, enriching and rewarding and leads to many unexpected pathways. Master Herbalist, Rose Kalajian, has had the opportunity to teach her Professional Herbalist Training Program for the last 10 years.

Initial Consultations are performed in-person with Rose Kalajian. The consult is approximately 2 hours in length. The goal of the consultation is to determine the cause of your health issue and prepare a custom wellness program addressing your health issues through the use of diet, lifestyle, and herbal regimen.
