Clarity Chiropractic in Johnston, Iowa has truly gone above and beyond for me. Ive been a patient there for almost two years. I originally found them when I was dealing with long COVID symptoms and was searching for hyperbaric oxygen therapy options. I made an appointment, felt confident in the care, and decided to start treatments.
Then on November 21, I had a mild stroke. I had read how important it can be to start supportive therapies quickly, so I contacted Clarity on a Tuesday morning to ask if a hyperbaric chamber was available to rent. Dr. Walker Porterfield immediately said yes and when I asked how soon I could get it, he told me, I can bring it this afternoon. He delivered and set it up that same day.
Even though I was somewhat familiar with the chamber, Dr. Porterfield was extremely thorough when he delivered it. He walked me through exactly how to use the zippers, how to make sure it was sealed properly, and how long to use it each day (and how often), because you definitely need to be cautious and follow guidance with something like this. He made it feel simple and easy to use, and I really appreciated the time he took to make sure I was comfortable and doing it safely.
What stands out most about Clarity is how much they truly care about their patients. They are responsive, kind, knowledgeable, and they take the time to listen and help you feel supported. That level of genuine care is rare. Im very grateful for Dr. Porterfield and the entire team, and I highly recommend Clarity Chiropractic.

Dr. Walker and Dr. Allison have helped me with my headaches that I used to have daily and now I've gone weeks without one and can't thank them enough! They were very thorough in their exams and were able to find the root cause of where my headaches were coming from! And also who doesn't love a cute office dog!

Dr. Allison and Dr. Walker are simply amazing at what they do! My daughter is being seen for some back and neck pain. She loves going! She loves how kind and considerate they are of kids! And of course she LOVES Theo! I love being able to walk in and know my child is getting the best care she can! If I have any questions they are always willing and eager to explain things to me! Love coming here! Such kind office staff and Doctors!

Walker took pictures of Jim and found 4 cracked ribs, one broken rib and a punctured lung that had blood & fluid in it! This was after Jim had x-rays done at a hospital and they never found any fractures. Walker sent his x-rays to Radiology there in Des Moines and they diagnosed what they seen in the x-rays and ask Walker to send him to the emergency room and have a Cat scan done. We went right to ER, they done the Cat Scan and his lung was clasped. The ER Dr. put a tube in his side to drain the blood & fluid out. Admitted him to the hospital to keep him comfortable, and to make sure he didn’t get pneumonia. Thank You Walker for the find!!
