I am so thrilled with my experience at Alban Acupuncture. I had a longstanding shoulder injury since I was in college, accompanied by dull pain ever since. I went to Joe for a few sessions and, even though he said I might need a "tune-up" in the future, I haven't needed one and the pain is virtually gone. Joe is a calming presence, and he spends ample time with you as a patient. I feel more comfortable going to him than my own doctor! And his new office is really lovely. All in all, I highly recommend him.

I went to Joe mainly to treat ulcerative colitis and migraines. On my first visit, Joe made me feel very comfortable, explaining what Chinese medicine is, and how it can help improve these conditions. Joe is very knowledgeable and skilled with both acupuncture and herbal treatments. The treatments are fairly gentle--as gentle as you can be with needles! I can be a bit nervous having needles inserted, but Joe makes it easier, and once you get used to it, the experience can even be relaxing. I found the treatments helpful, and will go back if my conditions flare up again!
