Services
Acupuncture
Acupuncture involves inserting thin needles at specific points to balance energy flow and stimulate healing. This ancient practice effectively treats chronic pain, stress, and various medical conditions by activating the body's natural recovery processes through nervous system stimulation and hormone regulation.
Facial Rejuvenation
Facial rejuvenation acupuncture reduces signs of aging by improving circulation and collagen production. This non-invasive treatment firms skin, reduces wrinkles, and enhances facial tone through strategic needle placement combined with complementary therapies like facial massage and herbal recommendations.
Cupping Therapy
Cupping therapy uses glass cups to create suction that stimulates blood flow and relieves muscle tension. This technique effectively addresses chronic pain, inflammation, and respiratory conditions by promoting circulation and releasing deep tissue restrictions.
Moxibustion
Moxibustion applies heat from burning mugwort to acupuncture points for therapeutic effect. This warming technique improves circulation, reduces pain, and enhances treatment outcomes for conditions like arthritis and digestive disorders through controlled thermal stimulation.
Herbal Therapy
Herbal therapy combines customized plant-based formulas with acupuncture treatments. These specialized blends support healing for conditions ranging from hormonal imbalances to immune deficiencies, following traditional East Asian medical principles for enhanced therapeutic effectiveness.

Andrea is wonderful. I've been going to Andrea for a couple of years. I had seen a different acupuncturist for several years prior to that, but had no idea what I was missing! Not only does Andrea know her stuff, she is kind, compassionate, and willing to think through any issues. She has helped me go through intense treatment by making it easier on my body and my body's ability to detox. She has helped with headaches, muscle pain, brain fog, and even my emotional well-being. Definitely worth the trip for those new to acupuncture and those who know it well.

I highly recommend Hoku Acupuncture. I've been a client of Andrea's for over 10 years -- she is a highly skilled acupuncture practitioner and is also deeply knowledgeable about Chinese herbs and other complementary therapies. She is an accomplished teacher as well and explains the physiology behind the principles of acupuncture, which was important to me. She's helped me with peripheral neuropathy as well as other ailments, stress and injuries. She is positive and caring, easy to spend time with, and a true professional. You will leave your appointments feeling lighter and brighter than when you went in!

I've been a patient of Andrea's for a few years now. I am so grateful to have found her (my primary health care provider recommended her to me). I initially went to Andrea for care because I was recovering from foot surgery and she helped so much with this long recovery in a way no other provider could. She addressed so many aspects of my physical and mental health and I've continued to see her for care beyond healing from my surgery. Andrea is smart, kind and compassionate. I really get the feeling she cares about me and my health. I'm a big fan.

I've seen other acupuncturists for an issue that requires plentiful needles and sufficient time to see results, and occasionally they've skimped on one or both. With Andrea, this has never been the case. Andrea goes above and beyond to deliver exactly what I need. I highly recommend her services!
