Services
Back Pain
Our back pain treatment focuses on releasing fascial restrictions that cause chronic discomfort and limited mobility. Through sustained manual pressure techniques, we address the root causes of back pain by treating the entire musculoskeletal system. Patients learn self-care strategies to maintain spinal health and prevent future episodes of pain.
Knee Pain
Knee pain treatment involves identifying fascial restrictions that contribute to joint misalignment and discomfort. Our therapists use gentle manual techniques to restore proper biomechanics and improve mobility. We address compensatory patterns in the hips and lower back that often contribute to knee pain through comprehensive body assessments.
Pelvic Pain
Our pelvic pain specialists use myofascial release to address restrictions in the pelvic floor and surrounding tissues. This approach effectively treats chronic pelvic pain conditions by restoring normal tissue mobility and function. We combine manual therapy with patient education about posture and movement patterns that affect pelvic health.
Sciatica
Sciatica treatment focuses on releasing fascial restrictions that compress the sciatic nerve. Our therapists address whole-body patterns of tension that contribute to nerve impingement. Through comprehensive assessments, we identify and treat compensatory movement patterns that exacerbate sciatic nerve pain.
Neck Pain
Neck pain treatment addresses fascial restrictions that cause tension headaches and limited range of motion. Our therapists use gentle manual techniques to release chronic tension patterns in the cervical region. We incorporate postural education to address the root causes of neck pain related to modern lifestyle habits.

Questions
What is myofascial release therapy?
Myofascial release is a specialized manual therapy technique that addresses restrictions in the fascial system - the connective tissue that surrounds muscles, bones, and organs. Our therapists use sustained pressure to release tension patterns and restore normal tissue mobility.
How does myofascial release differ from traditional physical therapy?
Unlike traditional physical therapy that often focuses on isolated symptoms, myofascial release treats the body as an interconnected system. We address whole-body patterns of tension and use gentle, sustained techniques rather than forceful manipulation to achieve lasting results.
What conditions do you treat?
We specialize in treating chronic pain conditions including back pain, neck pain, knee pain, sciatica, pelvic pain, and foot/ankle pain. Our approach effectively addresses issues caused by fascial restrictions from injuries, surgeries, or repetitive strain.
What happens during a discovery session?
The 20-minute discovery session includes a comprehensive assessment of your pain patterns, movement analysis, and discussion of treatment options. Our therapists will explain the root cause of your discomfort and recommend a personalized treatment plan.
Do you offer virtual consultations?
We provide free phone consultations to discuss your specific condition and treatment options. While hands-on therapy requires in-person sessions, our initial assessment and follow-up discussions can be conducted virtually to accommodate your needs.
How many sessions will I need?
Treatment plans vary based on individual needs, but many patients experience significant improvement within 6-12 sessions. We focus on empowering patients with self-treatment techniques to maintain progress between sessions and after completing care.

Aracelli will find the root cause of where your pain is coming from and work with you to help release it, actually healing the pain. She's a wonderful person too.

After giving up hope for years. I got injured doing cross fit in 2014, I was doing snatches. I injured my back, then a few months later, I injured my neck doing handstand push ups from a box, I fell on my head. Southwest Healing literally is healing me. If you are in any kind of pain right now, you should go to Southwest Healing and ask for Araceli. I tried physical therapy and I tried the gym but I gave up because I didn't feel like old me.
So I just lost hope that I could ever do cross fit again. Until I met Southwest Healing in Parkslope, BK. Since then, I have hope again. I can finally rotate my arms behind my back after I couldn't in 6 years. Araceli literally is a miracle worker. Go to her, she'll give you a miracle. I feel so much improvement after every session.
